i hate when a show has all the requirements to make a good entertaining tv series, yet im underwhelmed

I've watched a few episodes and I'll cliff it the best i can:

I just finished it. Had to keep watching. One of those trainwreck shows.

It was pretty aggravating, the personalities.

First couple episodes were ok then it just sucks

I saw an article about all the great 90s and early 2000s music in the show so I started watching and was very confused when they had iPhones and ring doorbells

Hnnnnnggggg. Not even really into Asian chicks but dayum

yes absolutely. shes pretty average srs. go to any korean church, you wont be dissapointed


so this show started off really strong, then back half of the series it sort of sucked.

anyways, it became another woke/ p edoflix par for the course show

cliffs:

-5.5/10 asian sloot somehow has a younger ripped CHANG going to the ends of the earth to bang her
-sloot is currently married to a legit tall/rich/handsome AF asian brah (because why not, this totally happens all the time)
-decides to cuck him (of course, this is hollywood)
-same sloot has a cringe AF scene where shes speaking at a panel and says that you can "have it all" as a working mom. yes slay queen!
-the only white character in the entire series is a billionaire woman who decides to get in a lesbian relationship with her sister in law AND dies by getting sliced in half by automatic steel door
-5.5/10 asian sloot decides to leave her rich/handsome husband WHO SAVES HER LIFE AFTER SHE IS LOST IN THE DESERT FOR DAYS to shack up with a complete loser burnout korean american brah thats like 5 foot 9
-ending scenes are the asian sloot talking about how "everything is temporary including relationships, we perceive and project our own happiness"
-meanwhile the asian sloot actress IN REAL LIFE divorced her husband of 10 years WHILE MAKING THE DAMN SHOW. they have 2 kids!

and worst part...
-in real life husband is still her "working partner" and acts as her agent for her wildly successful comedy tour shows.literally got friendzoned by his own wife and mother of his children

I enjoyed the show. Yes there were some cringy parts, but overall I gave it a 6.5 out of 10.

that show 'you' had some of the most aggy personality types ever, downright punchable, yet i still left entertained and could make it through an episode, but with this show i dunno.

but its crazy because it has the perfect formula for a good show, but yet im not engaged.

ill stick it out to support my fellow asians, but its meh

one of the guys on the show is currently getting cancelled for some weird rape statement he made a while back while on some podcast

im really struggling to enjoy this. i continue to watch because asians are so sparse in mainstreammedia.

im going to check out the new season of that show 'from' that richstrong suggested

i binged watched the first season today and i really liked it, it even had a few scares.

It's a meh show. You'll be able to watch it if you have nothing better to do. But once it's over, you really just forget about it. I kind of disagree that it's a woke show though. Even though the cast is Asian it doesn't actually delve into that aspect that much. You won't hear about the struggles of Asians in white America for instance. They're just characters who happen to be Asian. There are Asian references and jokes though, but nothing I found political. That is unless I missed some parts because I was kind of doing other stuff while watching sometimes.

Also, the sloot in it is a despicable person. But to be fair, her husband I think cheated on her first. Not physically but "emotionally" with the chick from the art gallery. She doesn't know this however. Weird relationship. And as soon as she admitted her affair, he asked for a divorce and had the upper hand in custody of their kid. So he wasn't exactly cukked. White characters? I mean, are there black characters? The role of the sloot was actually supposed to be white at first, but the person who wrote/created it changed it to a female Asian to avoid the dynamics of what could be viewed as racism. So even from the start, I think the creator didn't want to make the show about race. At least what I read. Also, the most pathetic person on the show is actually an Asian female who is nothing but a leech.

All in all, I don't think anybody in the show looks righteous. So it's fair.

But again, I may have missed some things.

The sloot in real life sounds like a real kunt though.
