best antidepressant?
im gonna see a doc soon and i dont want them to prescribe me some sh*t tier antidepressant
currently im taking trazadone and it seems to help a bit but it was mainly prescribed as a sleep aid

I got super depressed after watching my dad die suddenly one night.
It just happened overnight, I went from still gyming and working to not wanting to anything, couldn't focus, didn't want to eat. It was hell. Tried everything to "snap" out of it and I kept getting worse.
Lexapro literally saved me, within 2 weeks I was back to my old self, been on a year and gonna start tapering off.
Never touched any medication before, but I am now a believer that these meds do have their place.

There is more than one type of depression......its not as simple as I don't like my life and I'm sad because I have no purpose.
If its chemical related, mostly due to stress response you sometimes need a medication to help reset your body's stomach and brain chemicals. A lot of this is because peoples stress response varies greatly between individuals.
It annoys me when people say your depressed just go for a walk and learn to love god, its not that easy. A lot of the time people don't realise they are depressed until they need help
