Can’t wait until they ban these damn god forsaken gas powered lawnmowers and weedwhac

I Can’t wait until they BAN these damn god forsaken gas powered lawnmowers and weedwhackers. Holy crap. I live in a tract home, i can mow my fromt yard in about 5 minutes with my electric mower. But these damn gardeners pull up with a full sized truck amd trailer and unload an arsenal of gas powered noise makers. They will be using them for literally hours! I have to close my windows its so terribly loud. What are they even doing that long? Then they break out the weedwhacker for an hour, then the leaf blower for an hour. Out yards are like 1/10th of an acre tracts. I mow 5 minutes once a week but these guys come here every day! Are they NPCs or do they charge per hour pr something?

I have a battery powered weed eater. I use it around the house. I really like it.

OTOH, we have acreage that requires a tractor, large lawnmower, and a weed eater that can double as a brush cutter.

So what do I do when they kill the gas powered equipment? Battery can't handle what I need, and even if it could, I wouldn't be able to afford it. Instead, a lot of people will resort to older equipment and after market parts.

I've had the same gas powered weedwhacker for the last 15 years, and despite beating the snot out of it on the regular it still cuts through phone cable like butter.

This. I've only got 1 acre but couldn't imagine cutting/weeding the fence line with an electric. My In-laws have 8 acres....all grass.

Just F-n lol.....typical libcuk thinking "I only have a 2ft wide patch of grass to cut, so that means EVERYBODY should do what I should do"

I'd go electric 100% if I has a really small yard to cut. Hell, my DeWalt Batter Powered Blower with a 4AH fully charged battery doesn't even last for me to blow off all the chit I have to after cutting the grass.

I sold all my gas powered equipment for 40v Greenworks. Wish I had went 80v, but everything works fine and I don't smell like 2-stroke. Anything bigger than your typical suburban lawn is going to be more expensive than most people can afford.

I'm not familiar with the bigger electric equipment though and not sure if they're going to work for businesses and they're far more expensive. And how long would those batteries last being recharged basically constantly. They aren't cheap to replace.

Most of the new stuff will cut a couple of acres on a charge, and a full charge is only a couple of hours. Basically no excuse if you have under 2 acres. Even a cheapo brand like ryobi:

My electric lawnmower is very quiet, which is cool. My electric leaf blower isn't quite as loud as a gas powered one, but it's still pretty damn loud. After all, it's blowing wind at super high speed. Banning gas powered lawn equipment is pretty fawked for landscapers though. The sheer number of batteries they'll have to keep on supply is insane. My first battery lasts maybe half as long as it did when I got it 3 years ago. And the batteries don't actually get recycled if you take them to a recycler. They just sit in the sun and rot. I like my electric lawn equipment, but then I'm not making a living off using them.

$5k lol

I consider cutting the grass a cardio, so about a year ago I sold my riding mower and bought a used $120 push mower....whole yard done in about a 2 hours, calories burned, thousands of steps in, quality "me time" to think or get a podcast in.

I will admit though....I was interested in their 80v walk behind.....till I saw it was $2k
