When it comes to battery powered equipment, you definitely pay for the most power that you can afford. This is a rule that I use for farm equipment too. Going bigger than you think you need, you will almost never have regrets, but going with anything less can come back to bite you.

My weedeater is 40V and does pretty well. The thing to remember with battery powered stuff is the start up load. If you keep turning the motor on and off, it drains the battery tremendously. don't "blip" the throttle, instead set to the speed you need and don't let off the trigger until you've completed an area.

This is the way. It takes me about 2 hours if I weedeat and I do it all with a push mower. I've got a John Deere riding mower in my shed but honestly it's just overkill for my yard. I'd like to go electric but I'm in weird spot where the electric push mowers don't have enough charge but a riding mower is just too much. I don't think I'd ever get an electric weedeater. The ones I've used in the past seemed weak as pond water and my Husqvarna does work

I wish, i lived near OP so i could do doughnuts and bunny hops in his yard with my Simplicity Alfa AF Gas Rider, with hydrostatic transmission and 52" cutting deck with my 22CC Leaf Blower cranked on high duct taped to the front and weilding both my Stihl Chain Saws going full bore. That would be the last gotdam time he ever saw his wife and it would be of her backside as she's riding off with me on my gas mower with a Hamm's light in each hand.

Yea, I was looking at that one too. I would have to split up cuts into just the front yard 1 day then the back another or buy more batteries.

Same. My back yard has 2, 7' retaining walls and the rider was kind of sketchy going up the hill and along the edge lol. It was way faster, but kind of overkill. those walls also make for a chit ton of weedeating.....would never go electric for that.

Once we had our kid and I knew time was going to be tighter for the gym/cardio ..so I picked up the push mower to multitask. lol From start to finish, the whole yard completely done, weedeat, edge, cut, blow takes about 2-2.5 hours.

For a little more you can have a Bad Boy or some other decent residential mower that will likely outperform and take more abuse.

Yeah agreed with all that. I almost got the 60v Toro equipment. My weed eater is only 20v and is fine for a small lawn. Came with an impact driver and a drill tho, so can't complain.

I live in a normal area but on Sunday mornings when it's sunny there is this one prick that is doing what I can only describe as cutting sheet metal.
