Golden bull becomes world chess champion!

Ding liren just became first Chinese world champion. Rip joos Russians and whites. Chinese taking over the world.


Against all odds. The guy was getting killed the whole match vs a Russian guy, and barely qualified for this match, never gave up, inspirational stuff.

Fooking give it up for the golden bulls!


Magnus Carlsen still highest ranked player thou, he decided he doesn’t want to defend the world title yet again, he did it many times, and is tired of the process. So the next two top guys played this match.

To be fair Carlsen recently destroyed everyone and won everything. He not running. He just being a bitch and not wanting to undergo this process again with lengthy preparation and strict schedule. But his rating still mogs everyone else’s.

Surprising that out of all places to get spoiled it's the misc where I read this first lol. Was watching every game on youtube with analysis at night and hadn't been spoiled a single game out of the 14.

I think Carlsen is gonna go for 2900. It’s probably difficult if not impossible while having to defend his title every 2 years but mainly he doesn’t like the format of the tournament.

Nunn is elite IQ wise in that he is also a professor of mathematics, unlike everyone else. Even Carlsen said Nunn IQ mogs him.

And they don't. You think the guys who sign checks are smart. You also equate chess with smarts. There's some overlap, but not much. It's a different kind of strategic ability. It's like saying top DotA or LoL players are geniuses. They aren't.

I know a guy who was a master in chess, but a total dipchit on math and science stuff or literally any other intellectual pursuit not related to games.
