Demon Slayer is a modern classic for young kids, again.

What an edgelord picking 3 revered anime’s for different audiences and saying they suck. What’s next, FMA isn’t good either?

FMA Brotherhood is what I meant. FMA I haven’t bothered with because the anime got ahead of the manga and apparently the story wasn’t anywhere near as good as the real manga.

been watching Anime since fkn Saint Seiya in the 80s, bro. Anime has only gotten bigger and better. cope harder.

AoT is superior, more engaging, deeper story, better characters, superior themes and messages, more captivating, and more believable than BB lmao.

BB's storyline falls completely apart when you realize nobody in real life is snitching on their dad or giving him that much problem just because he deals drugs. BB is soy reddit trash.

DBZ was amazing as a kid

I didn't watch anime until Covid.. Before a co-worker who had similar interests in sports/gaming recommend me some anime stuff.. which i initially dismissed as weeb ****

Lockdown hits.. so i decided to give AOT ago.. was fking amazing.. VERY few TV shows these days can get me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode..

I watched the first 3 seasons in a couple weeks.. AFTER that.. S4 is still good..

But the mystery and intensity isn't quite the same imo (becomes you become aware of what goes on outside the walls)

This. People will watch southpark and then chit on anime. It's just a form of animated media with certain design characteristics. There are very adult themes in it just as there are adult themes in southpark and king of the hill.

Adult animes like Made in Abyss, AoT, and Full Metal Alchemist have very good world building, adult themes, and an interesting story that you will not find in western media. All of the ones I listed are original ideas and wouldn't really work in a live action adaptation. It's not for everyone, but it beats watching drug/crime drama copy/pasta for the hundredth time. "yeah these dudes are dealing drugs but on motorcycles" "woah these dudes are dealing drugs but like in the mountains" or "dude you are not going to believe this, these dudes are dealing drugs but in Columbia"
