First republic shareholders expected to be wiped out (mariomiami get in here)

While the purchase price per share details have not been revealed, most wall street analysts are saying the all equity holders will be wiped out with the JPM sale.

Mariomiami where you at? Didn't you make a thread earlier about loading up in FRC? How much do you stand to lose in a total wipeout event?

I would hope it's wiped out. They owned shares in a bank that took unnecessary risks.

Cliffs:

Mariomiami makes a thread 2 weeks ago that first republic is undervalued and we all should buy the dip

Posts screenshot of him buying a bunch of shares at 11 bucks a share

Miscers respond that he's an idiot and bank may fail

Mariomiami digs in and defends the investment

First republic went into receivership over the weekend and a fire sale to jpm and PNC arranged by the fdic was announced Sunday night

All equity holder expected to be wiped out

Why are people buying shares in these banks where investors are specifically not being protected even when deposits are

Southpark already covered this - its because our gov has no consistent approach to bailouts, they play it all by ear (read as it depends on if their friends/lobbyists are impacted or not, see SVB for example) and don't know their dick from their elbow. Sometimes they save the creditors, sometimes both creditors and shareholders are saved, sometimes only deposits are saved. ****ing lol, clown show by SEC/FDIC/FED.

He won’t come anywhere near this thread.

The guy is a complete cock inhaling fraud. None of it is real start to finish.

Made a thread whining about his credit score taking a hit because he cancelled his Tesla order.

Deletes that thread and makes this one a week later:

Thinking about cancelling my Tesla order.

I'm pretty sure I posted here over a month ago during the previous fiascos that buying up First Republic could be a great bargain, but don't hold it. It already looked like a pump and dump stock, hold onto for a week or two and GTFO before you get raped.
