I bought it a few weeks ago when it was on sale. It's kinda boring tbh.

It took three tries and multiple years for it to click with me. Talked mad **** before it did. All the typical stuff you see.
"Trash gameplay mechanics!"
"Slow af, hate picking everything up"
"On rails mission structure is boring. I want to play a game, not a movie."
TBH, I was wrong overall. The game clicks when you start immersing yourself outside of the main missions. Take on hunting/fishing, take on tasks to expand base, customize Arthurs hair/beard/cloths/guns, try poker/other mini games, do some different type of robberies yourself, hunt/tame dope horses, take on bounties and experiment with how you kill people, say hi to random people and get into random fights, investigate random noises and find crazy hidden chit like serial killers/ghosts/aliens/rape or slave driver dungeons (etc...). The game is a lot more varied than the opening hours allowed me to believe, and once you start making your own choices in general, the immersion kicks in hard. There has also never been a game with this level of attention to detail. If you try to just rush through the main story and finish it, you'll likely have a mid experience and not really enjoy it. IMO this is where the range of different opinions come from. I've been on both sides of it. You really do have to take your time with this game and sink into the world.
10/10 game

My favourite game I played on PS4.
Replaying it on Xbox too since the Xbox version runs at 4K. But I don't think I'll ever able to finish it a second time.
