Whelp was planning on playing diablo 4 anyway.. and waiting for reviews.. buying after i got bored of Diablo

If main character is gay with explicit gay sex on top of it.. i just wont buy it.. not interested

(UNLESS its some dragon age origins/ME type ****.. and u get to choose to be straight)

The signs have been there that Japan is becoming more progressive in recent years. DQXI had a character who was basically gay and basically had a Pride parade.

As long as it isn't a significant part of the plot I won't care that much, although it does detract from what is supposed to be a medieval England sort of setting.

i didnt beat the game.my save data got corrupted and yeah he was a flamer but i dont think they said he was gay.maybe implied but not set in stone.either way thats a good game and will probably start a new game soon.but yeah he was annoying as hell

It was all but stated. He didn't want to be a swordsman, he wanted to be a dancer and he had to 'come out' to his dad. Eventually he has a gay pride parade with his flamboyant friends.

But yeah it wasn't explicitly stated. I looked it up and it's apparently Bahamut who is gay in FF16, so I'm assuming not a main character. I think they probably just felt pressured to add some diversity since they made it an all white cast with a white male lead to make it more authentically medieval european in theme and they were already getting some heat for that.

I honestly commend Square Enix for not adding black people and whatnot to a medieval european themed fantasy game in the present year.

Ok it's not bahamut, it's the 'dominant' of bahamut. In FF16 apparently you can be like Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, which seems to be what it's inspired by. The character's name is Dion and he's some twink prince. The region he's prince of is basically France, so it kind of makes sense.

Anyway, he is a main character.
