Those two things about Thomas offset his rich upbringing. dedsrs.

There are plenty of examples of good/great fighters that come from privileged background. They ALL have a meanness to their eyes.

Marco Antonio Barrera is a perfect example.
I did notice from the poster that Brad looked quite passive, whereas the lvl 3 CFA looked like he was ready to get at it.

IDK, awaring ppl on misc not the same anymore. 10 yrs ago it was awesome because the misc was a super active, hilarious corner of the internet with its own micro culture. Now it is just kinda depressing, ppl going here out of habit, etc.

You know American psycho? That's what a CFA is.

CFA is basically what private equity, investment bankers and finance moggers get.

Lold, the CFA isn't worth the paper its written on. The amount of knowledge in the 6 books that are outright wrong is ridiculous. You'd learn more trading markets for a year straight.

EDIT: Prime example "consumers are rational." I've watched you ****ers buy used panties, fart jars, and bath water for ****s sake. Aint nothing rational about the average consumer.

Theres lots of certs, degrees and qualifications that are sht but getting them looks good on your resume. It's like a degree in that getting it means nothing about your capability but it opens doors which is why it's for moggers

Basically someone you pay to invest your money for you, who will underperform vs an index fund, but will charge you much more.

Is there a vid yet?

change coaches. Telling you your first fight will be easy is beyond retarded. Either your coach or you should've done research on your opponent

Him training/fighting muay thai before is a big advantage

You'll never know what kind of a skill base your opponent has - he might be on your level, or a badass guy who has trained for 5 years and now decided to have his first match, or someone who wanted to test his limited training and have fun, like OP.

My first kickboxing fight was against a 6ft7 240lbs guy with 8 fights (heard this after the fight). I saw the weight/height stats 1 hour before the fight. Won by KO.

My 3rd fight (MMA) was against a 6ft8 255lbs guy. We were matched on the fight day. I'm 6ft4 and 215lb and I've had all my am. fights (4) in the light heavy or heavy weight class. Lost on points.

In a way, being a pro fighter is easier - manager matches you up with some scrubs the first 10 fights, you have more info/videos about the guys etc.
I thought 200+ lb is heavyweight for basically all fight sports?

Aware me cause doing boxing and soon Muay Thai, sitting at 235 lb but resting weight of 220. Would rather be at the top of light heavyweight and work on my cardio than bottom of heavyweight.

respect for stepping up and getting in the ring, didnt work out how you wanted, but sounds like you didnt really put much training in so probably a good lesson in preparedness. repped.
