ever realize a lot of people have no empathy?

like you cant say chit to some people without being invalidated somehow? these people just have nothing good to say unless its for personal gain. the worst kind of NPCs.

I think this is the biggest problem humanity has.. we should always teach to have more empathy.

I remember in my teen years and early adulthood having almost no empathy, but fortunately I've been on a better path and I've been trying to develop it.

i think the current world of social media steers us towards thinking "it's all about me". everybody wants attention now and a way to show how special they are...looks, build, money, likes, fame

being humble and empathetic is probably the hardest thing for people to do now

It's hard to choose a favorite among so many great threads, but "ever realize a lot of people have no empathy?" is one of the best, most powerful threads ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since, Goodguy03, it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on this thread.

Ive grown to realise most people arent like that deep down its just that life throws chit at you from early age & you build defense mechanisms that may make you act antisocial & the longer you keep it up the more likely its to twist your personality into a piece of chit.

yes. very few people have empathy.

i've always had tooo much empathy.

tbh, ive been making a conscious effort to stop that and be more selfish. srs lol

the hardened not a care attitude, will give you a much easier and stress free life.
