But to mention many houses can't even support electric stoves. Brb having to upgrade your 100amp service at the cost for $3500-$5000 dollars.

Well, this is for new builds, which will likely have 200+ amp service, but it's still still bad. Natural gas is very efficient, electric heat is not even if the the gird can support it (and currently it can't).

NY states power comes from:
gas 46.1%
nuclear 25.2%
hydroelectric 22.6%
wind 3.5%
biomass 1.6%
Solar 1%

They keep telling us they have plans to generate more power and upgrade the grid but nobody can tell us how they plan to do that.

also, just lol at anyone who needs to retrofit their home for the new electric appliances they will be forced to buy after their gas appliance dies.
100ft of 6/4 electrical wire is about $700 so i hope their stove, dryer, and hot water tank are close to the breaker box.
