Tragic what happened obviously. I'm guessing the shooter was another person looking to commit suicide, and take others with him. Our mental healthy system in the America sucks.

As usual, gun defenders will come in with arguments that you can't stop it, good guys with guns would have killed the guy, person would have just used a knife, you can't ban murder, etc.

But this literally doesn't happen in any other country with anywhere close to the frequency it does in the US. There's no denying that. Like the first poster said, you have to be afraid of people knocking at your door or just walking through a mall in the US because you could fall victim to some nutjob.

Meanwhile, just implementing a few simple things would likely help to curb the violence. There's no way you're going to prevent it, just make it harder for people to get their hands on one.
