Biden = game over. 36% approval

"A new ABC News/Washington Post poll has thrown a big splash of cold water on President Biden's nascent re-election bid -- showing him losing in match-ups with either Donald Trump or Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

In two 2024 matchups, here's how things stack up among Americans who say they would "definitely" or "probably" vote for a given candidate:

Trump 44% Biden 38%. Undecideds lean Trump 49-42.

DeSantis 42%, Biden 37%. Undecideds lean DeSantis 48-41


That's not all: Biden's approval rating took a 6-point dive from its February level to reach an all-time low of just 36%. Against data going all the way back to Truman, that's the worst score for any first-term president at this point in his term. Three predecessors who were in same ballpark -- Ford (40%), Carter (37%) and Trump (39%) -- failed to win second terms.

The Biden administration's over-the-top emphasis on race in all manner of political nominations and appointments hasn't done a thing to improve his standing with blacks.In the most jarring of the new poll's results, Biden's approval rating among blacks has fallen a staggering 30% from his inauguration -- plummeting from 82% to 52%."

-Biden is polling lower than other one-term Presidents were at this point
-Biden will lose to Trump or Desantis
-2/3rds of the general population say Biden is too old
-Affirmative Action hiring hasn't helped. Biden's approval among blacks has plummeted more than any other group.
-Potato Joe has no chance of reelection, despite the DNC refusing to have debates to allow other Dems a shot.
-It turns out a few years of dementia and elder abuse on camera takes its toll.

Yeah Brandon is complete ass. I expect his approval to go up significantly if/when Blumpf becomes the nominee, though. Not because people like Brandon, it'll just be a knee jerk reaction due to fear of a second Blumpf presidency.

Dementia on display. And people know economic figures reported are lies through manipulation. Inflation is still high, still close to 10% in reality - if measuring how we used to measure inflation. People can tell. People don't have faith in the economy even while boosters try to fluff it up. Employment figures from the BLS don't match what's happening on Main Street. People can see the Federal Reserve is trying to bring about a recession. 3 of the 4 largest bank failures ever happening in just the last couple of months doesn't exactly instill confidence in the economy either.

Our proxy war with Russia in Ukraine doesn't seem to have any near term resolution. The list of "why" is quite extensive.

Biden has been severely weakened by his failures and getting primaried by other democrats will only wobble him further. Maryanne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. already have a 30% share of the vote. That’s abysmal for a sitting president. There’s also talk now that Joe Manchin will challenge Biden for the nomination according to an article today in Politico.

Elections aren't about the candidates anymore. They're about ballot harvesting. That's why dems just outright hide their candidates until after the 2 am ballot dump. The only republicans that have caught onto the game are in California.

Any candidate that's not Trump beats him easily. With Trump I feel like it's 50/50 because it comes down to how many people are brainwashed into having TDS vs how absolutely terrible Biden is in literally every facet.

But yeah, Desantis would probably get like 90% of the vote against Biden. Even libs realize how bad Biden is.

I had very high hopes for DeSantis but his 6 week abortion ban and pro-gun stance will definitely hurt him in a Presidential election.

Based on those 2 issues alone, Trump has a better chance of winning over moderates and independants.

Blumpf will be painted as the sole reason that Roe v Wade was overturned, since he promised to put judges on the bench who would do it, and they did exactly that.

DeSantis is 100x more electable than Blumpf, who has close to no chance to winning more independents than he did in 2020.
