Runescape 2008-2012 crew checkin in

We play old school now. Haven't played in a bit tho

Thats around when i played but then my friends settled on WoW and I pretty much just switched to WoW

Played since 2007.

It was the GOAT

Played since 2006. I was a kid, and learned about it from my older brother's friend at a bowling alley, SRS. Looked it up, started playing, the rest was history. The only reason I remember it was 2006, is because not too long after joining I got into acquiring holiday items, and the oldest one in RS history that I've ever recalled owning is the "Zombie Head."



The account I'm talking about was banned for macroing major years later. I got into trying red chinchompa hunting botting while I was both asleep and at school. Dumb move, got reported multiple times over based on chat history.

Made more accounts after that, including one on OSRS when it came out in 2013 (and maxed, no botting). But it's over for me. I know Jagex is actually introducing a new skill "Sailing", to OSRS. And a new skill "Necromancy" to RS3. But don't care at all SRS. I wish Jagex would just make a RS4 at this point, but that's not even a hypothetical thought or comment from Jagex to my knowledge, maybe by 2030? Either way, I'm looking towards Diablo 4 this year.

I was introduced to it by a buddy in the public library. I was also a kid. It must of been around 2005 or 2006 something like that.

He was helping me out. Making a new account for me. Doing tutorial island for me. All at the public library.

He had a sister and his sister was like why don't you help me out like that?

He was helping me more than he helped her.

Why?

Because even though I was a retard...

I would later have the heart of a Runescape player and would later be a future Runescape player, creating my own account by myself in 2008.

I had the Runescape spirit.

Maybe somehow someway he felt it deep inside.

Maybe that is why he helped me more than he helped his sister.

I remember Runescape used to have it's own forum like the misc

It still does,https://secure.runescape.com/m=forum/forums, but it has a miniscule fraction of what it once was. Ever since OSRS, maybe a bit before that too, /r/runescape and /r/2007scape on Reddit became the primary place to talk about the game.

Quit because it was way too time consuming

It was the type of game where you didn't play for an hour or 2, you played for 8, and that was a problem

But it was the players that gave Runescape so much life !!!!
