Koss are good budget headphones. not exactly Sennheiser's, but they beat out a lot of headphones and are very worth the cash

That's the thing, they're so good priced that I can replace them easily. I still try to take care of them though.

My desktop setup is:

RME Adi 2 DAC
Genelec 8030Cs
Genelec 7050C subwoofer

I love the sound.

The RME has a specific IEM port - I have Ultimate Ears Pro Custom Reference Remastered that I use regularly. I love the Audeze LCD-5s - they sound so fun, but I don't collect them at home any more.

Used to post on head-fi years ago, their meetups in NYC were hnnnnnnngh. I have gone to the NYC CanJam for years too. Love meeting people passionate about music and how they listen to it.

I had a Koss walkman in the 90's for playing my mixtapes on my 2 mile walk to HS....was a quality device and served me well. sounded good. I had a pair or 2 of the headphones also as replacements in the time of the mp3 players

thats a nice desk setup.

I'm a physical media guy, collect CD's and LP's and almost no streaming unless I'm walking or working and the headphones come out, then its just a pair of trusty audiotechnica m50xBT.

My modest home setup. I would have bigger speakers if I had the space it only a small 12x15 studio. The elac carina's and B&W dual stereo subs are more than enough in here.

I have Martin Logan electrostatic speakers that absolutely sing and are powered by a Peachtree amp. Stereo hifi music is awesome and they actually perform amazing in a home theater setup as well.

not that this is MISC kinda music, but imagine this is what a cheap phone recording sounds like in room on my TT.

my Power amp is a TEAC ap505 hypexNcore I would put the TEAC hypexNcore amps up against any amp at any Price....same with the Nad purifi......the new classD highend amps are WAY better than the old versions....untouchable by everything else seriously.

preamp I just use a schiit freya as a passive, project fully balanced TT X8 and dS3 phonobox at33sa cartridge

I got a decent entry level hifi setup going on my pc.

Klipshe rp 600m II speakers
Soundblaster ae9 sound card
Amazon special "hybrid" tube amp
Beyer dynamic dt 1990 pro headphones
Goxlr + audio technica xlr mic

I use the sound card for the headphones, amp for speakers

In my living room is a 5.2.4 dolby atmos setup, absolutely rocks for movies, kinda fun to listen to dolby atmos mixed tracks on tidal, tho stereo still rules.

I recently started going down the audio rabbit hole

bought some new xlr cables which fixed the buzzing sound on my krks
now I don't really use my beyerdynamic headphones anymore. They also hurt my ears after a while so I'm usin these speakers nowadays
I barely have my pc on 10 volume and its super powerful. Couldnt imagine putting it much higher
bonus points for that clutch $50 monitor arm I recently bought. Should have bought years ago.

those KRK's look like nice budget friendly monitors....powered speakers and monitors are gonna be the future with these new classD amps being such high performers in a small package...seeing a lot of new ones coming out with ICE power modules.

After going fully balanced XLR in my system I will never go back to rca.

Depends on the model, they are kind of lower budget powered speakers mostly, but some of the models turn out good some not so good, but you could do a lot worse.

A full size stereo kinda ran out of fashion around 2000, back in the 90's and before stereo was king....then mp3's and bluetooth ruined it all for convenience . but powered speakers have gotten a lot better recently with technology.

those look pretty good , defiantly they are trying to jump up to the next level with that model, they are probably nice.....For me if I wanted near fields and had a choice I would go with Yamaha Hs series
