Many of you folks going to get some gaming in this weekend or did the first Beta give you what you were looking for? Just curious.

debating on it, its a temporary character only to start over again and again from beta to server slam to full release

if anything i'd probably try the barb and druid out cause i haven't played those in the beta.. but im full blown going rogue on release.

I was thinking about it but probably won't unless my buds play. I don't want to burn out on act 1 before I even get the game.

ill play a lil bit. already leveled almost every class to 25, did Ashava, etc.

It's so bad lol. I mean it's an easy fix, just increase the minion health pool cause they die too easy/quick. They do good damage. Not insane but actually balanced.

got another melee rogue to 20 tonight (20 is max now) . prolly stopping until release, might play a lil more over the weekend but gonna stick to PD2 in the mean time. have already done so much in the first act of d4 and the fact that it will be deleted is a lil unmotivating to keep playing

necro was completely broken prior, so they took it a little too far with the nerfs this time. on release necro should be at a good place after all the complaints and data they receive.

Holy chit at the amount of stuff they nerfed into the ground. I think I read that barbs thorns went from 60% down to 9% lol. Tons of shout nerfs too.

Yea looks like typical blizz balancing. There is just going to be 1-2 predetermined preapproved builds per class, and if you somehow manage to make anything else work it will just be nerfed to oblivion. No thanks I already played d3. Ill stick to poe

Beat Ashava with... 4 seconds left. Close one. Def. doesn't feel the same as the last beta running sorc. We'll see how it is next month on release. Chain lightning didn't melt like it did last time around.

Got nec to 19 almost 20, didnt have much time this weekend. Everyone complaining about them on the forums so wanted to test myself. Stuck with the same build as I went on open beta with decompose/blight/decrep (just stacked slow + reapers w/ slow proc) and it melted pretty much everything. The people complaining are just dog chit at the game. Nec is FINE. ded fkn srs.

So you didn’t actually use what they were complaining about? Apparently blizz even acknowledged this and hotfixed minions near the end of the beta so if you did, you might have completely missed it.

I practiced with my launch team and it went really well.

The nerfs were across the board, so every class is 'weaker', and yet I know sorcs who used [different build] who said they felt stronger than the chain lightning / hydra build last test.

Rogues still giga powerful, even if using two imbues. Almost one shotting whole screens in the stronghold so...yeah.

I played Saturday night with nec, and I dont think so cause I was using warriors to start and they were dying relatively quickly as described by people complaining. The first boss at the start 1 shot all of them but I just kept resummoning with the minions that spawn on that boss. Once I got higher level it became easier and easier, then once I switched from warriors to reapers it was pretty much GG.

The point of bad players complaining about these classes still stands. Asmons build was fuking terrible and then he's complaining about his druids kill speed at level 13 when he only has 94 attack power. Should be double that easily at that level. He constantly passes up items on the ground as well that would more than likely be upgrades.Yeah I initially got rogue to 20. Will be starting launch with melee rogue (twisted blades) no doubt... Just deletes bosses/elites. Single target dps is insane still even without the TB leggo with the blades spinning around you. Once you get that though it's game over. I didn't find it since they nerfed drops (fine by me) and even still it was owning.

There was some elites that got deleted so fast that I wanted to record it with OBS to see what the fuk happened lol. Never got around to it though.

That's the way it is though. With my streamlabs cloudbot I can see who has been lurking in my stream, and there were - over the past week - some shockingly big names, srs. Just because "insert big name" puts out a build doesn't mean they were the first to come up with it - they may have been among the first to popularize it.

But it's the folks creating the builds in the first instance that have the game sense. On my stream some randoms would come on and say 'yeah but this is better, yeah but this works' and after I explained why I did something my way, they never spoke again. Or rarely "oh yeah, good point".

Streamed for almost 17 hours after launch, then again on Saturday too for about 9 hours. Then did my secret build testing off stream. Folks won't be able to copy my barb strat at launch lol.

Fun week.. got Sorc/Necro to level 20.. and played around with Rogue/Barb to lvl 10+

The twisting blade Rogue seemed really ****ing OP damage wise.. but then i ran into the catacombs boss (spider).. and it was hellish had to switch to bow rogue to beat it.. i was only like lvl 10 tho

I didn't play Necro first time around.. it felt broken.. was surprised that the skeletons were supposedly ****.. yes they often died.. but it never felt like a major issue

Probably going sorc tho.. fire looks like it will scale well.. i also enjoy Ice and lighting builds

Did you play nec at all? If so what build were u using?

I just winged mine and it was doing very well:
Decompose > Enhanced > Acolytes decompose for more minion damage
Blight > Supernatural blight for more minion damage
Decrep > Horrid Decrep to execute below 10%
Hewed flesh for corpse chance on bosses to resummon
Warriors/mages life/health skills

Just stacked slow/stun and it was facerolling. Then there's something with the reapers CD being shorter with slow/stun that makes them use their big skill more often which I noticed helped a lot.

Yeah, I mean after the patch was slipstreamed by Blizzard: Bone Spear maxed, skeletal mage/warrior mastery maxed, decompose->acolyte's, blood mist, decrepify, and maxed death's embrace.

All the classes still feel pretty good to me, but the truth is someone was complaining on my stream that they don't like how the world levels with you, because they expect to outgear content to be able to face tank it, and I was like 'in what Diablo was this easily done?'. Like I could giga gear a lightning sorc in d2r to facetank, but I really don't think that's the intention in D4.

Saw so many dying to Ashava man, in one of my instances I came close to having to solo it srs.

That sounds like a good build brah. I like how the world levels with you personally, no complaints on that. Can get xp anywhere you like which is nice IMO.

Never got to so Ashava this weekend, but I killed her twice on open beta. I am wondering if I still get the trophy for killing her open beta? Or did it HAVE to be this weekend only?

Ashava's horn was only from this test iirc, from the others you could get this puppy backpack thing.

TBH the 'shop' is the weakest of my in-game knowledge, I had never even opened it until yesterday lol. Check your CP too breh.

people complain about necro but they nerfed frost sorc harder than anything

im now debating whether to go fire. I found a hybrid build but this game is catered to garbage consoles and is limited to 6 skills (since consoles dont have enough buttons). I would simply drop the basic skill but after the nerfs to frost its no longer feasible to go without your basic skill and 5 skill slots isnt good enough for hybrid build
