Most Republican values are rooted in Judeo-Christian beliefs. Republicans love hierarchy, and Christianity is as hierarchical you can get: there’s a supreme being and everyone is born in sin. Trump supporters are also extremely objective as opposed to subjective. I’m extremely subjective and a postmodernist, everything is relative.

So if you’re a highly objective Trump supporter, then you must have a source for objective truth. That source cannot be anything else other than “God”. I think all the republicans who say they aren’t religious are only bullchitting themselves and don’t realize just how many Christian values they hold.

The ones who admit they believe in God, are being more honest than the Trump supporters who claim they don’t. Although believing in God is already no different than believing in Santa Claus or the tooth fairy, God is Santa Claus for adults so anyone who uses God as their source of objective truth is already a clown. You would be hard pressed to find many atheist Trump supporters as a result.

Conservatives consider themselves to be the “normies”. So my question is, WHAT is normal? And who decides what is normal and what isn’t? Normal always changes. How the phuck are conservatives for preserving normalcy when normal is always changing?

Honestly if I was raised in a Christian household I'd probably be Christian and good to go. I was raised in an atheist household however and despite that I turned out conservative. Edit-actually I was raised in a nonpracticing household with the last supper, prayer hands, and virgin Mary on the walls lol. Maybe apathetic christians are to blame....
