Look at how Republican states handled it.

Look at how democratic states handled it.

There was absolutely a HUGE difference in how the two sides responded. FL, GA, SC, TX had a lot less restrictions and also immediately pushed back when Buyden said he was going to make private companies mandate it. In my state.. no statewide mask mandates, businesses only closed for April 2020 pretty much, how businesses and cities/counties handled things was left up to them, no govt. agency was allowed to mandate the injection and our governor himself asked citizens to speak out and write him personally if they felt pressured to do so as govt. employees, schools went digital for the last half of the 19-20 semester and were open as usual right away for the 20-21 school year, and on and on and on the difference go. To say republicans did no better on the issue is absolute nonsense.

One of the greatest things of the whole sh!t show was telling Covidcels we have to protect the protected from the unprotected by giving the unprotected the same protection that isnโ€™t protecting the protected from the unprotected in the first place and watching their head explode when they realize how dumb it sounds if you say it out loud.

Peak was 2022 when people voted in the same people who enacted these policies in the first place.

Probably when everyone was an absolute stickler about social distancing and "not killing my grandma" and then George Floyd happened and there were mass groups/protests of crammed people and the media and left were totally supportive.

Then the riots ended and it was back to "how dare Texas high school football crowds be that large, they are so irresponsible over there!"

I'll never forgive the left for ruining two years of our lives. Never.

Lots of kids are permanently behind on schooling as well. It's almost criminal what was done to them with the school lockouts.

And now housing and inflation are phucked due to covid bailouts and supply crunches.

It honestly ruined our way of life and we will be feeling it for decades

Two of my clients got COVID in the past month, at least they tested positive for it. It was a pretty bad cold for one, and she's 76. Virus mutated into something basically harmless as viruses always have and will.

Thankfully the world has moved on. Still see people wearing masks alone in cars though.

Indoor dining is too dangerous unless it's done in an enclosed heated tent in the parking lot.

Just ordering drinks is too risky, but ordering food with your drinks makes it ok.

There were a lot of really dumb things that were done to justify re-opening businesses (especially restaurants) that made no sense at all. Either it was too risky or it wasn't, and they should be open or they shouldn't. The stupid rules just needlessly inconvenienced people and obviously did nothing.

It's a hard pill to swallow that the politicians who were for all of this were rewarded with election wins in 2020 and 2022, isn't it?

No one will ever be held accountable.

Okay to be fair this did actually significantly improve efficiency.

People are so incredibly self-absorbed nowadays that they tend to be entirely unaware of how their presence is fukking with other shoppers.

Brb walking down thecenterof the fukking aisle and stopping and staring at crap for minutes at a time as traffic moving in both directions gets held up.

Brb trying to wade through a mass of fukkers that are just milling around at the end of an aisle, slowing down movement in all directions.

Yes. The omicron mutation is the one that effectively ended any danger of the pandemic. Mutating to become more contagious and less severe is the dominant Darwinian evolutionary pattern for this type of virus and it is what has ended every serious respiratory pandemic in history. The timeline lines up pretty well (maybe even a little shorter) with the timeline for the Spanish flu pandemic.

Nahh, the pinnacle is being so deluded that you'll still ignore a massive amount of evidence that the "vaccines" are horse**** and all the crap done over the past couple years was just to **** with people and did NOTHING to mitigate the alleged disease. Which may or may not even exist. Example: face masks. Demonstrably proven to be 100% ineffective against a virus, even says so on the ****ing box, but people are STILL wearing them because the tv man said so.

I was still mad about all this not that long ago but then decided it was actually a good thing because we got to see the divide between the critical thinkers and sheep in real time. Daring to question the efficacy of the "vaccine" meant you were a moron! When in reality it just meant you didn't believe some dumbass lying politician. It's amazing, honestly, how all this went down. People I thought were smart turned out to be 100% moronic, easily duped by FUD from the media.

I got into more confrontations with people about not wearing a mask in Florida than I did anywhere else. I traveled all over the US during the entirety of covid, and the cities in Florida were no different than blue states. Orlando, Tampa, St Augustine you'd need a mask everywhere or you'd get berated. The Fort Myers area was fine, even Miami wasn't as bad. It's like a lot of Florida was going extra hard because they were known in the rest of the US for being lax about the asinine restrictions.

The masks are probably what pissed me off the most about the whole thing. I wasn't going to get the shots under any circumstances, but the masks put me in constant confrontations with absolute morons in a way I have never experienced in my life, and when I did fold and put one on I felt like a defeated bitch, because I was forced to do something against my will, and outwardly so. At one point I was getting into confrontations with people on a daily basis because that felt better than the feeling of defeat I felt putting one on. It was a relief when they finally dropped the mandates because I started dreading doing almost everything.

I still remember walking along the River Walk in San Antonio, outside, and having one of the idiots piloting those tourist pontoons heckle me for not wearing a mask. I still can't get over how stupid and weak most people are in ways I didn't expect them to be.

On the flip side, I have way more respect for those who pushed back during that whole thing. There weren't many of them. Now people act like they questioned everything, and they say it was stupid, but they were silent at best as it was all going on. Most went along with it.
