A great boxer can make a great MMA fighter.

The opposite isn't necessarily true.

Boxing is hyper refined with a far bigger talent pool. In MMA, you can get away with being trash at everything, but be good at 1 thing and still become Champ.

I doubt you'll be a great mma fighter if you think your boxing sucks. But the words great and suck are both very subjective. Most MMA professionals would "suck" compared to a professional boxer. Yet compared to the average person their boxing would be great.

Ben Askren was a Champ with a 18-1 record. Look at how atrocious his boxing was. Same for guys like Matt Hughes, Jon Jones, Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva, etc.,. Absolute piss poor boxing for the level they achieved.

This rollerball guy is having a meltdown LMAO. That post will traumatize him for the rest of his life.

Jon Jones boxing is absolutely fkn terrible. Despite an 84inch reach, this guy gets busted up by far physical inferior fighters in MMA whenever he does box.

Jon Jones MMA striking prowess comes from his ridiculous size and arsenal of strikes, not his boxing. He can elbow from range people aren't used to. He peppers the chit out of people with his variety of kicks from far and breaks them.
