Last 5 years I averaged $228K per year. 2022 taxes I did $125K.

My wife works for now since we don't have kids yet and she brings in $123K with something like $40K stock vestments after 2 years

My bad I double checked, it was only $607k. Srs. Stay mad. Should have the option to retire in 3 years if I continue at this pace or keep working and be rich (not wealthy because I've learned you gotta pull in $1 mil+ per year at minimum to be wealthy..... I've also learned making $600k in a year doesn't do much different for your life than $200k, with the exception of pushing you closer to retiring early should you choose)

I’m 33 and make $500k a year doing travel anesthesia working 40 hours a week. If I worked 60 hours a week it’d be $713k a year and I can work as much as I want bc there is a shortage. I just don’t want to burn out. I have a 2.5 year masters degree and premed undergrad. This is not typical for anesthetists unless you are willing to move every 6 months or so to different places, but you can take as much time off as you need between assignments so it’s basically as much time off as you want so it’s super nice.

no offense but this travel nurse chit needs to end asap.

hospitals refuse to pay nurses better, yet travel nurses get paid double or more than local nurses?

is that a government incentive or something?

pretty much every hospital in my state is short staffed.

Jelly of everyone ITT. I'm closing in on age 28, and project $160k-170k gross this year, not including 401k match. I think by 30 I'll be looking at $200k+ gross. But I won't make the big league $250k+ cash without some major career movements (manager/director, entrepreneur, side hustles + income streams). My job is comfortable and WFH, probably more comfortable than 70-90% of jobs out there depending on what specifically is thought of regarding work stressors.
