Going back to church
I was raised protestant or non catholic in one of those "holy ghost" churches you often see on youtube
I've been meaning to go to a catholic church since the pandemic died down but often time time schedules and work conflict, also with all the "kid" scandals I was beginning to wonder if these were still places of holiness or just everyone pretending like they don't see the elephant in the room. anyhow this Sunday was mothers day so obviously had to go see mom and so I promised myself this coming Sunday would be the one. I'm just tired of all the performative Christianity and just want to be in a building where I'm exposed to a more orthodox type of service, however the very notion of men in fancy robes and hats it also gnawing at me but I'm willing to push myself to do this none the less.
yes I am aware not all catholic churches are the same, eastern orthodox kinda have their own thing and languages vary based on the community and there's even a Coptic variation
however I will like to hear all your opinions, since none of you know who I am I thought this would be a great way to what subconscious energies will raise inside of you after reading this
to my Muslims friends...no....just no <insert heart emoji>

Luke 20:46-47 (KJV)Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.
Isaiah 45:22-23. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Say, ˹O believers,˺ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

Head to RCIA if you haven't been baptized/confirmed or want to bone up on your knowledge of the faith.
Would recommend a latin mass parish or a traditional conservative novus ordo parish. I find they are more welcoming of newcomers and have more activities going on.

Catholics are the equivalent of liberals when it comes to the truth. Forget about the repeated warnings from Jesus Christ himself and go confess your sins to some peedo in a dress so he can forgive you.
Makes sense.

I'm not Catholic but I attend Mass at a Catholic parish...started out a Baptist, but raised in a Charismatic church from teen years on.
I longed to belong to a church that practiced as close to the early Christians as possible...the only ones i have found are Eastern Catholics, Orthodox, and an argument can be made for Western Catholics (otherwise known as Roman Catholic). I have visited all the mainline denominations, none can claim apostolic succession like Catholics and Orthodox can.
Since there are no Eastern Catholic or Orthodox churches near me, I attend a Roman Catholic Church and will likely covert to full Catholicism in the near future. There are some aspects of it I do not agree with, but you don't have to agree with everything. I believe in the Eucharist and Baptism sacraments (as well as the others Catholics have) and in Christ, so Biblically, I think I'm good. I'm not on board with the whole "praying to Mary" and other saints, but you don't have to practice that part in order to be a Catholic.
If you have access to an Eastern Catholic or Orthodox, I'd start there personally, but do your research. Start with Trent Horn on YouTube, dude is incredible at explaining everything you need to know and fantastic at countering Protestant arguments against the Church.

The "church" is the gathering of brothers and sisters in Christ. It's not a building, a ritual, an outfit, etc. It's about meeting together to worship God, deepen our understanding of Biblical doctrine and deepen our connections with other believers to help keep us accountable and lift each other up when we struggle and fall.
I would suggest doing a little research to find a church in your area that actually follows Biblical doctrine and isn't afraid to speak it and stand up for it.

I don't see the issue if they all believe in the messiah then scriptural they are all a part of the same faith. I don't see a reason to cut off a church because their doctrine is different. As for the wors if an of us were 100% true we would all be Jewish Christianity only moved away from Jusdaism in the 400s this when also the time when kosher eating and the keeping of shabbat was changed. This is because Jews treated converts to the discipleship of Jesus as secound class and often times required them to be circumcised but the message of the gospel was so strong that in due time there were more followers of Jesus than there were Jews so they decided to do things their own way. The catholic church agreed that belief in Christ was enough to cover the ordinance of circumcision but belief was also not enough one should be baptized and do good works to ensure one's place in the kingdom of heaven. This newer hiarchy is the reason so many catholics treated Jews so badly in Europe they never forgot the disdain Jews had towards them and view them as enemies because they do not align with the belief of the church.
Side note when I speak to Muslims they envy jews more so than hate them they believe all Jews are "rich" and live lives of royalty and geel what Jews have should be theirs.

Catholic is the only way to really organize around Christianity. The wisdom is true regardless how not every soul there is a saint at all times.
Freaking out about other people existing in churches is as autistic as being afraid to look up to any role model or ancestor.
