Even the simplest of home gyms - a barbell, a few hundred pounds in weights, an adjustable bench, adjustable dumbbells, a simple squat rack, and ancillary things like collars, weight tree, and floor mats - will run you north of $1,000, maybe more, and limits you in terms of available exercises. You can get years of gym membership out of that.
If you want a legit home gym, you will probably spend closer to $3,000, that ain't it mane when you're talking about saving money.

Cooking my own food instead of a takeaway saves me loads. I was going to order one the other night, thought fuk it, went to the shop and got 4 days of food for the same money lol

You'd get a better return by just investing that few thousand bucks into a growing company that spits out dividends, which also isn't exactly a money saving tip.

I use a round up method so anytime I use my card it'll round the cents to the nearest dollar into a separate account and I throw in 50 bucks a week into that same account to just have a rainy day fund. Its north of 1600 bucks and I started this in January. Feels good knowing I have that money there incase something comes up

brb saves a few hours a week not driving to the gym
brb saves gas $ on trips to the gym
brb no waiting for ppl to finish their workouts before you can do yours
brb post workout hygiene is just down the hall with no bs
I'd have a hard time going back to a gym after being used to not having a memership now, tbh. Honestly, the time saved in and of itself is priceless.

$100 barbell
$300 in weights
$200 rack
$100 adjustable bench
$100 dumbells
$100 ancillary equipment
That's $900 for literally just the basics and almost all of that equipment is going to be **** quality. If you actually got legit equipment like Rogue, figure on doubling those prices, or more like some other miscers have said ITT. Then you need to have an unfinished basement or unused garage to actually set it up. I understand it will pay for itself but it's just not a money saving tip. That's like saying trading in your car for a more fuel efficient one is a money saving tip. Yeah, it will save you maybe $100 a month but it will costs thousands up front.

As far as the cash goes, say I live for another 30 years - I'd be up like $30k+ from not buying gym memberships and the gas money spent to get there and back, and literally months worth of driving time saved. Also probably more months worth of time saved from not having to wait for other people to finish their workouts so I can use certain equipement before leaving. Does none of that stuff matter to you?
In terms of equipment breaking, I'm pretty confident that my barbells and weight plates will hold up just fine. Besides that, probably 50% or more of workouts I ever did in gyms were done using mostly free weights that were made in the 1980's, and these workouts were taking place in the late 2000's to late 2010's before I went full home gym mode and dropped gym memberships for good. But yeah, if you're trying to buy power racks from your local sporting goods store or something, I wouldn't be surprised if that gave you issues down the line at some point.

-Pay yourself first. When you get paid, before you buy anything, move an allotted amount of money into savings and investments. Manage your money around your take home AFTER you put money into savings/investments.
-Scale your income yearly. If your job/career doesn't give you raises find some kind of side hustle you enjoy that you can slowly scale. Even if you only increase your income by 3% per year. Over the course of 10 years that's 30% more funding. Obviously the goal is more but that's just a small example.
-Run an actual budget and stick to it. With a pen and paper or excel spreadsheet. You should know how much money you spend on everything every month. And you should immediately know if an expense increases in price and why.
-Stay debt free (except from home) and remember to spend less money then you earn.

I've looked at every single store that sells food around me and for some reason walmart is the cheapest for the things I buy. Aldis, save-a-lot, dollar general, ethnic markets, etc and walmart is the cheapest of anywhere.

Use my credit card for every purchase. I never carry a balance, so I never pay interest, and one of my cards earns between 1 and 5 percent cash back. Also instead of getting cash back I could get a Lowes gift card for more than the cash back value.

Forgot a large obvious one - home gym!
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

Cooking and refusing to eat out. Saves a fortune and is good for you.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

I am glad you asked I for one do not allow females particularly if they are of the HTC variety to use the restrooms in my home unsupervised I mean I find this strategy to be successful in avoiding discovering a fudge cobra frenzy was unleashed and has resulted in a terrible clog that cannot be addressed even after several hours of aggressive plungering with my duncan sheik live in Hampton roads 1973 tshirt pulled up over my nose thus resulting in a hefty plumber’s bill
