I think there was a lot of fomo in regional banks too. They’ve been on a tear. I bought KEY preferred shares today and I’m up almost 10% on those stupid things too. It’s all amusing because as long as common shares get a 1 penny dividend I get my full dividend and believe me div cuts are coming.

This pump in everything was McCarthy after Biden press conference releasing statement "A debt-ceiling agreement by Sunday is doable"

I was watching the SP futures (ES) on lunch as it happened where they swept all the orders and pump from hell was on.

Biden is cutting G7 trip short coming back Saturday and there is now front running that before Sunday futures open they will announce deal.

Market biggest catalyst for down is debt ceiling not getting raised and default (odds of this are idiotic low and like legit impossible)

Remember we were told recession Q1/Q2 this year.

Than sky was falling.

Now they won't even let you get proper dip to buy.

NVDA crossed $300+

Market is still liquid believe it or not and its all in 5-6 select names lol.

PLTR looks good here. Crazy to say but interesting spot.

anyone own CHDN? Churchill Downs, a horse track operator. They're having a stock split this month. I dont own any but they've been going up exponentially since 2013. I always thought horse racing was a dying sport.

There’s been some stupid rallies lately meta did about the same.

Wen short? I’ll have to try and find some time today to dig into financials. What’s their debt pile look like?

Bought 2 June $250p for $1.30 seems close enough if they stutter on earnings they’ll get wrecked. Kinda like Netflix did a few quarters in a row.

You jumped too early.

I want them to cook nvda to $320-330 before earnings.

Everyone now wants to rage short / buy puts on nvda.

Which is going to make this tricky for earnings.

2 contracts are small potatoes just to keep them on my screen. Kinda like having 10 pacwp shares just so I can follow easily and I’ve got something in the game and can easily average down or buy higher strikes cheaper. Anything can happen right now and shift the entire market dramatically. Supreme Court could drop a decision and tank market. NVDA could warn of something Friday and markets tank. 2-4 banks could announce they need moar halp otherwise they go under on Sunday and markets will crater.

Lemme know what you think you’ll shoot for and I’ll keep an eye out. I still haven’t looked at financials.

Buffet bought another $200m of OXY. Selling puts around $55 seems like a solid continuing bet.

Going to share my moonshot in here...

Rockhopper UK (RKH)

Has oil & gas licences in the Falkland Islands.

1. Israeli company Navitas Petroleum farmed in as operator of Sea Lion field and they have hired a COO from Murphy Oil to get the show on the road.
2. Won an arbitration case against Italy last year and are due ~200 million euros pending annulment decision in Q4 2024.
3. Other licences mean more exploration and potential for increasing contingent resources.

Lots of room for growth from the current price if the above things (especially 1) go in RKH favour.

Might be close to time boyos.
Fnma getting lots of support to be returned public. If they could convince the government to ease terms of release and their “ownership” they could raise capital going back to trading publicly. Still have no idea what it would mean for people who own otc common shares. I still believe my preferred share position would see a massive value gain once it seems remotely close to getting done.

MSFT has been my #1 holding for several years now (srs). Even when looking at MSFT's valuation on purely a price multiple basis (relative to growth), MSFT crushes other businesses... just in terms of how much EPS they generate and how much it is expected to grow (relative to their valuation). That is before considering the x-factor that MSFT is the largest software company in the world (and its not remotely close) and software is pretty much the defining feature of the modern economy, so it makes a lot sense to imagine MSFT having more upside related to future undiscovered technologies than not.

MSFT = cash cow with fundamental growth drivers. The line always goes up and to the right with them and it won't change anytime soon (srs).
