Spiderman is a legit 9.5/10

Played the remaster on PC and it's fun as feck, story is engaging, awesome set pieces, swinging around is fun af, and it's not filled with endless BS fetch quests. Other than some minor bugs and the Screwball missions (although they were mostly in the DLC not the base game) I enjoyed it all.

Plus spiderman should have kept banging black cat, she fine af constantly putting out. MJ is just a prude.

Played it this year for the first time. So much fun. Great story, and enjoyed the combat and traversal. Buncha guys in this sub will call it a walking sim though. So hyped for the next one.

I couldn't get into it, simply because of my personal dislike for Spiderman and his ensemble of spider friends. The addition of miles morales spider man made it even worse, as I dislike that character even more than regular Spiderman.




Patiently waiting for Wolverine tho. That should be a certified cheek clapper

I'll never understand why Sonycels enjoy watching cutscenes so much. God of War 2018 was great but the last one was literally a movie with little action thrown in.

Spiderman is the same deal. Cutscene after cutscenes.

Did you actually play through both games tho? I played them for the first time this year. I don't read comics or watch Marvel movies. Don't give AF about super hero chit but found this game really entertaining. Miles was a little weaker in story... but graphics, music and gameplay were a step above.

Disagree so hard. Spiderman had so much fighting. I was tired when I got to Miles Morales but they improved the combat in that one alot so I didn't mind at all.

So you don't consider the whole "Push X to fight" sequences as 'cutscenes'....

It's a good game but I prefer the arkham games.

The art direction is just much better, although it peaked with arkham city.

NYC in spiderman is just so much blander than Gotham.

Gameplay wise both are so similar as to be indistinguishable but yeah I prefer the tone and visuals of the batman ones.

Spiderman is still very good though

I dont remember Spidey having too much cutscenes. I like Spidey. Just replayed it to finish the DLCs. Miles game was ok, esp cuz it is during CHRISTMAS, but I prefer OG Spidey. Cant wait for 2.

Amazing how they can let you traverse thru NYC without a single hiccup.

Spectacular fights too. Some gets frustrating esp when you try to get a plat.

Friendly controls too. Nothing complicated but can still be challenging.

I'm about to play that.

The DLC for the base game was ok, some of the enemy bases were pretty crazy once you do the mafia story. BRB guys with rocket launchers, whips, jetpacks and miniguns all at the same time. Faaarrk

My opinions just come from being a comic reader. I don't really like Spiderman comics much, I only like Spiderman when he's mixed into other characters stories, not as a main character.

Spider-Man was really fun. Yeah, I wish the Black Cat side story was a lot longer. Fighting the Sinister Six was pretty amazing. Gameplay was def as good as Arkham Knight. I didn't like the Miles parts either but mostly because I hate slow parts in games, just let me play. Disagree with others that it's mostly cutscenes though. A few slow parts but there was plenty to play.

I wouldn't spend more than $10 for MM. The DLC for SM was included in remastered and triple the length. What is it like 8 hours total? Sheesh.

My one gripe is the same song over and over while webslinging through the city. Could have at least thrown a few other tracks in there or some variations.

Great raytracing performance and worth turning on to see the reflections. Not a gimmick here if you ask me.

Now, Uncharted 4, that was too many cutscenes. I like the characters but come on it's like half cutscenes.

Agreed. I like a great story, a lot of PS games overdo this aspect and it comes off as pretentious.

I'm a huge Spidey fan, but the game was a 7/10 overall IMO. Tons of doing the same thing over and over, map littered with the same side quests, boss fights that really only had 2-3 repeating moves you had to dodge and mash attack after until a QTE plays. Meh-city

Still had a fun time overall, but I hoped for more depth to it. Hopefully the next one improves on that front.

Yeah the combat is much more fun and if you have a dualsense the haptics for your special moves feel really satisfying and weighty.

Loved the combat, especially the ability to pull off special moves and even use the people you were fighting as weapons.

The excitement for 2 it is in my peen. Wolverine as well. I expect both to be masterpieces.

I liked both on ps5 so much I just had to plat them!

That means I beat a single player game it’s hardest difficulty.
