Thinking about the answer to that question makes me realize how pathetic what I am about to say is lol.....
Been here a while. On and off a bit. I had a two year ban where I really did stay away the whole time.
But man I have seen some chit on here. Had some legit conversations with real people and shared some exciting times and sad times with you guys. I remember the huge celebration when the news about the US capturing OBL broke. Made and lost friends on here just like IRL... all of it.
Christmases, New Years resolutions, slooty Halloween costumes every year and of course gym day. What the **** are we working out today? It has been a source of motivation for me.
On a typical day to day basis it is a distraction/mindless entertainment at best, but holy chit as whole, this place has been a pretty big (consistent) part of my life and I am grateful for that.
Man that is pathetic af lol.

At it's best misc is the neighborhood pub where you recognize a lot of the regulars.
That said the last few weeks the place has been very quiet and it seems that a lot of the worst has been on display.
I need a home and community with IRL connections and I am trying to work towards that. I still hope that misc makes it. OTOH probably like a lot of y'all I've been questioning if this is a place I should still be spending time.
Make better threads and don't be so hateful...not saying stop calling stuff out or cracking jokes.

forums were always considered “hermit” attractors but I never saw them like that. a lot of kids nowadays scroll mindlessly on ********, tik tok, instagram.
so what makes a forum any different? the anonimity? the straight talk with no BS?
sure, there are some weeds here and there, some trolls, some smooth butter ****s, but overall I think it’s a place with decent entertainment and some wisdom here and there

But srs: I love this place and the people here. Even the trolls and shìt disturbers. And even those I politically disagree with as long as they are respectful.
There's a few people on here like Ironmanlet who think independently and always bring a fresh perspective to threads without toeing the line of political or social dogma.
There's tons of people on here that I know I would be friends with in real life. I've made a few connections outside of the forum but never got to meet any miskers in person.
I don't tell secrets unless it's one of the few people I've talked to outside of this forum.
