Any successful restaurant owner in a major city would make around that much. The issue is competition. They must have some bomb ass ice cream because DC's food scene is insane.

Didn't watch the video but location and social media presence.
There is an ice cream place not far from where I live. Open during the summer only, owner most likely chills in Florida during the winter. Anytime you go there the line is long as fuk

Let me rephrase. How many people do you know in today's world who are making their own path and living their lives according to their own terms who are making that kind of $$? Most people making that type of $$ are doing exactly what you're describing - working for someone else while selling their soul and having little to no control over their own life. @Kengriffyjr24.

it says she got an SBA loan, meaning if the business goes under they are personally liable (bank can start grabbing assets from them).

while you might think shes "free", her indebtedness to bankers means they cannot just freely do whatever they want. they need to service the debt holders here less they take over their business and assets.

true freedom and control would be having the cash/track record to fund a business venture where the loans taken out are not backed by personal collateral. but they are not there yet

Good for her and her mom. DC and NOVA is the worst region on the planet. It’s full of nothing but career obsessed corporate rats who have nothing going on in their lives and live to humbly brag about their consultant or legal profession while trying to get their kid into a top private school and eventual Ivy school to repeat the cycle, while living a soulless existence contributing nothing to society

I've made over $250k the last 5ish years, and set an alarm maybe 4x per year. Probably doing like 5-10 hours of actual work per week.
