Aren't you in Wyoming right now?

Pay raise?

Just came back from Vegas. Damn it's fooking hot there brah. And expensive as chit. Pretty fun though and Nevada is good for taxes. One of the lowest income taxes, right?

Yeah I moved here a year and a half ago.

I negotiated a 25% increase, granted most of that was due to cost of living. I was still making good money out in Wyoming, but I had a low ceiling. I could only earn up to $40hr, out here I can earn up to $50hr for doing the same thing.

Yeah Wyoming and Nevada have no income tax, but Las Vegas has an 8.4% (?) Sales tax I think, vs 5% for Wyoming.

Ahh yea that's where they get you with that sales tax. Could be worse though. I know the property taxes aren't high though so it works out.

Well sounds like a good move then. Won't get that Wyoming winter and winds haha. Just have to deal with the summer heat. You pumped brah? Any friends out there?

dasitmang. i mean as long as that $50/hr is attainable, i guess it is a good move.

couldnt do it myself. something about Wyo that would make me miss it even though the wind routinely blows over fukkin semi's & you get snow in late May (snowed like 6in in Glendo, WY May 31st, 2019).

sure wont have that chit in LV.

Factoring in the cost of living, I'll still be making an extra $500 per month, and that's including living in Henderson. I suppose I could live in the arts district to save money, but then I'd have a chitty commute and live deeper in the city. House prices are MUCH higher out in Henderson, but it's a great area and if the market does get even lower out here, I could be timing it right by moving here.

I love Wyoming, but to deal with -30 temps and high winds are rough, then the elevation in the summer makes it feel like it's another 15 degrees hotter than it actually is. Plus I won't need a truck or SUV to drive threw all the snow, I plan on getting a japanese car for a daily while I'm down here. I moved out to Gillette from Casper, and then next month Casper had record breaking snow of 25" in 24 hours lmao.

Yeah if I become a master tech, I'll be making a killing out there. I'll miss Wyoming, but I miss dating actual good looking women, having a wide variety of restaurants and nightclubs. Plus I'll be happier buying a loaded Japanese car for like 30k as opposed to getting a bare bones truck for like 40k. The winters are no joke out here and having a truck or SUV is almost a requirement.

Yea I couldn't do that weather even if Wyoming was such a beautiful place. I just looked it up too and had no idea the average elevation even without mountains included in Wyoming was that high. Holy chit. The wind is one thing, but the snow amounts + that long of a winter is even more brutal. I don't blame you.

Sounds like a needed move tbh. Wish you luck. I actually really like Vegas area. Also, Nissan crew checking in. Cheap and reliable with good gas mileage. All you need out there.
