Can’t stand Lex Fridman

How the fuk does this schmuck have 3 million subs?

He’s a 39 year old virgin who likes computers, and THAT’S THAT. He’s bland and boring, wears that same stupid suit every time, and has a smarmy elitist gay way of coming across, SO UTTERLY GODDAMN ANNOYING.

That's high level autism. I haven't watched one single podcast of his. I've only seen clips and am pretty shocked at how someone could get past 10 min of him without falling asleep.

I've seen only a few parts of his ep. He makes some interesting questions to his guests in a more serious tone

I guess some people want some dudebro making some exaggerated conservative claims and reacting like a chimp at everything, it ain't for you

I used to listen to him before this podcast, he did the AI podcast and he had AI scientists on all of the time. He's a very smart guy. Phd.

The reason most of the people in this thread dislike him is because they are stupid. Fridman is very intelligent and knowledgeable. If you aren't mentally capable of deep thought, you aren't going to like him.

Notice how OP focuses on things like the way Fridman dresses and his voice -- that shows what mental level OP is at.

He is a professor at MIT but He is extremely boring and low energy with no charisma. He knows how to network and just by being associated with Joe Rogan got him his traffic and fanbase. That is the first time I heard of him was on Rogans podcast.

But yeah the guy is boring as hell I couldn't listen to his podcast just get tot he point, Its why I like Rogan and why Rogan is the top podcast he gets to the point when discussing things. Freidman goes on these long rambles

Another guy I cant stand is that Sam Harris that dude rambles and enjoys hearing himself talk just get to the dam point. I prefer Gad Saad because he gets to the point without pointless rambling of talking without saying nothing at all.

He is not very smart. That's the problem. Rogan isn't very smart either, but he knows he's not that smart. Friedman thinks he's a lot smarter than he is because he puts on a suit and asks questions of smart people.

Isn't he like deep into AI stuff? I imagine he must be fairly smart to do that, but that doesn't mean that he may not be a dumbass when it comes to a lot of other topics.

He's actually not an MIT professor, that's part of how you know he's not smart. anyone who needs to fraud their credentials is lacking.

To be a professor at MIT is really hard. However, if he does research there, he has probably taught classes too. He's definitely no dummy if he does research at MIT.

eh, his dad got him in to an unranked graduate school, and he did a free guest lecture that is worse than an undergrad would come up with. His research is probably some connection he milked.

I mean...I largely agree, but a PhD in engineering and getting an AI research position at MIT actually does require intelligence. It doesn't necessarily mean he has good opinions on/isn't necessarily stupid when it comes to other unrelated topics, but he certainly isn't dumb.

I'm not here to WK the guy, I'm indifferent to him, but let's at least be honest.

EDIT: Oh lol he went to Drexel. I got accepted to Drexel out of high school, it’s not considered to be a great university.
