Can you solve a Rubik's cube?
Something I've randomly decided I wanted to do was solve a Rubik's cube and figure out how to consistently do it and after a couple days I got it down very quickly now.
I'm sure there are tons of different "ways" to solve it, so now that's my next lil random task when I'm bored
Y'all know how to solve one?

Yeah I imagine the same method you do, white cross, white corners, bottom two layers, yellow cross, yellow corners etc?
I've never tried the speed cube method, will have try it one day though.

As a kid in the 80s no. I picked one up about 10 years ago and was able to. So I got the 4x4 one, the 5x5 one, pyramids, etc. Took a little time, but now can solve most any sort of those puzzles. Its a fun way to challenge your mind with something different.
Funniest thing is when I would see one on someones desk at work, I'd pick it up and solve it (even if they weren't there at the time). Good conversation starter and people were amazed.

Mathematically, it involves cleverly using group theory. You can look for operations that leave certain parts of the cube fixed and cycle through them until you get to a desired configuration. It's pretty complicated to figure out from scratch, but if you already have the algorithm, it's easy to use.

I 'solve' them by first grabbing and twisting the wrist of the person holding the cube, so it drops to the ground.
When it's on the ground I pound it to dust with my massive fists.
Then I shout "I solved the puzzle you ****et. Rubik's cube equals gym noob'
And then I fly off in my helicopter, flexing my muscles, and all the women on the street are miring.

Yeah I only know the most basic algorithm and I forgot one of them so I have to do do it undo it and redo one move. Best time is 52seconds but would take me two mins these days

All you have to do is peel the stickers off and reset them or snap the corner pieces off then the middle pops off and reset that way to be finished.

Didn't you.

Of course you can... But what's the point? You're not solving the puzzle like that - you're just following directions.
There is a difference.

Bro. It's an exercise! Maybe a person won't ever solve it... Like how maybe a person won't ever bench press 2000lbs, or run a 2min mile. Or like how you won't ever leave your dad's basement and go outside - whatever.
Does that stop you from working towards that goal though?
Wincel be like "Fukit, it's too hard!" LMFAO!!!

Wincel has to think he's the smartest homebound incel on the internet. But when reality smacks him upside the head he flips his shiit and blows a gasket or three lol. SO predictable! LMFAO!!!
