It was a forced talk by her and I knew what was coming anyways, and tried to avoid it at all costs but kind of had no choice. The bs "I thought we were just friends, seems like you want more........you're a great guy a wonderful guy, I don't date coworkers I'm still in love with my ex" of FOS excuses speech came. Even though I was fully expecting it, it still didn't feel good but since I knew what was going to be said anyways it felt a sense of relief to just get it over with and move on with my life. I concluded by telling her if she changed her mind to call me. She got mad and said "so I guess you'd rather not even be my friend? That's messed up."

Anyways I didn't talk to her for about a year while I began dating my now ex. When chit was going awry I reached out to her to talk. She and I hung out and talked and she told me she was glad I had finally called her. Back to my ex for 2 years of crazy to be drama. Then my one oneitis sort of rubbed it in and began dating an actual co-worker when she had used that as a bs excuse on me. Oh well. My relationship was going from bad to worse in year 2 and I would always reach out to her from time to time. Her relationship sucked too. Now I maybe hear from her once every 4-6 months or so if at that. She's always disappointed I don't call her much and don't want to hang out with her all the time like back in the day. I hung out with her a few weeks ago for the first time in over 2 years and wondered what I was even thinking ever wanting to date her. She's cool, but there's definitely a lot hotter less damaged women out there than her.

In the end it all works out. I remember when I was oneitising over this girl and asked a buddy. He literally described my story to a tee as to how his went back in the day for him. Told her how he felt, she said no, he moved on, she got mad, they didn't talk for 2 years, one day he ran into and realized he really liked her as a person and didn't care about her that way anymore. Same as me he maybe hears from his former oneitis a few times a year.
