No, I actually separate emotions from voting more than most because I help run clinical trials for a living and it's all about having accurate data. Not being willing to choose Trump just means that I understand that what a president does is more than simply speak to policy. If that was their only role, the primaries wouldn't be a big deal since several candidates from each party are usually very close on policy. I choose congressmen and senators based almost solely on policy. I'll choose which presidential candidate I support based on the totality of who they are and how they'll act as the leader of a country. I would love to have Trump as my congressman, but not as my president. DeSantis is pandering a bit more than I'd like to the most conservative members of the GOP right now, but he's smart and capable of evaluating the information he's given rationally. That's important to me.

Nope. I listen to Trump and many other politicians, and then I fact check the things I care about. My media resource is the WSJ since I've had a subscription for years, and I'll occasionally look for related articles to what I see in the WSJ on the AP, HBR, or the Economist. I'm not using Fox and CNN to make my decisions but I'll watch debates. When I fact check something a politician says, I like the actual data sets or reports they are using to justify their opinions. You can obviously neg me for being honest about my choices. Some idiot did above, and that's his/her right. But I don't think you can blame me for making my decisions based on the best information I have available. From curiosity, what are your information sources macmoney, and do you think they present a less biased database than mine?

I agree with this. Trump vs Biden is a disaster. He's the only candidate Biden will beat, and I'm part of the reason. It's why I posted before. I'd rather vote for almost any republican over Biden, but I still won't vote for Trump because he's one of the few people on the planet I think would be a worse president than Joe Biden.

And let me say I am not religious at all. Not Christian. But it is hurtful to me when I see the things I see on social media or TV about how evil and bad my culture/race is. When I walk into a grocery store here in CA and see no one speaking English (only Spanish) or no one that remotely looks or acts like me. It feels odd having grown up in a VERY peaceful city in the midwest where most everyone was the same as me.

And it is only getting more extreme here in the US with people from countries coming here....mainly illegally. And that goes for people from Africa and the DR and Haiti as well.

Imagine if Mexico said let's let all the people we can from Thailand into our country and YOU HAVE TO let them in and let them take over Mexican culture or you are a racist bigot germaphobe.

I mean of course that will not happen and of course no one would be upset with Mexico for not letting it happen.

Yet for some reason....here in the USA? It is happening to white/Euro culture and it is not just happening.....but it is being applauded by the left.

99% of America does not care about that.

I am a Trump supporter (for the most part) but of you cannot see how Trump has taken the "I am an outsider and not a political shill" and turned that into a huge money making scheme I don't know what to tell you. It is his shtick.

In reality though DeSantis has done 100x what Trump has as far as enacting conservative values and traditions.

Well … not really. Some sure, but they also formed insular communities were English may not have been spoken by many, they didn’t marry outside of those communities, and they were despised by many groups that were here before them for fcking up the culture and religion.

It took a couple generations before they were assimilated.
