A few days away from 7 months sober

Never thought I’d be able to make it this far, thanks to all my Misc bros and sober support crew (you know who you are) for being there for me!! 7 months ago I was in the hospital not sure if I was gonna make it, and now I haven’t been this happy and healthy in probably 10 years!

Running 5k’s, DB rowing 100lbs like it’s nothing, doing dips with 135lbs!! And I’m doing well at my job!! Amazing what hard work, a good diet, and dedication to clean living can do!

Whatever else I accomplish in life, if I can remain sober then I’m succeeding at my biggest job.

Even if you drink, you just gotta put your mind to something and you can achieve it! Lots of Miscers out there are very SAD!!! If a mentally disabled autistic retard like me can cobble together the determination and will to live and find moments of happiness in life, then so can you!!!!

Good on ya. Just went over 13 months sober from booze recently myself. Once you get past the 6 month mark or so, it starts to become more about going through the motions and not going full-retard than it is having to actively deal with the pita of staying off the sauce. Just don't let yourself slip up in a moment of weakness. Worst case scenario, go down a tad of edibles or something instead if you feel like you really can't help yourself. You'll get your fix of getting a bit F'd up without ruining your sobriety from booze.

From not drinking?

I didn’t lose any weight just lost fat and gained muscle. Same caloric intake but this time it’s actual food instead of Jaegermeister

I'm very happy for you. It is a huge accomplishment. I'm a proud member of the sober crew, and I'll always cheer on other sober bros on here.
