Having a new employee is SOOOO annoying

Just hired this guy, he’s like 45 years old and married and has kids and is new to the industry. Has prior work experience in a different field.

Anyway I just have to remind myself to be patient with the guy as he is brand new and learning EVERYTHING.

I’ve had some bad experiences with older employees in the past, some in their 50’s and 60’s and you wouldn’t believe how incompetent some of them can be.

But somehow I’d rather have an older incompetent worker than a 25 year old little “I’m gonna save the world” girl who thinks she’s better than everyone and thinks she’s just sooooooooo cute and can do no wrong.

It’s not my fault when I only had one applicant in 6 months, DEAD SRS. Otherwise I’d agree with you. I don’t have a choice, boyo!!

I’ve hired some great employees too. And it’s only Day 2 for this guy, he’s OK so far but ya never know…

sounds like you work for a garbage company or its a worthless position with no required skills and thats why nobody is applying.

Company is pretty good, similar to competitors. And I wouldn’t consider the position worthless, as I’m willing to incur the cost of hiring and employing/paying someone to fill it. Applicants need to be skilled, actually.

So far your assumptions have all been wrong!!

I know the feeling brah, I got a ****ing raise but with that came additional responsibilities such as training the new employees that report to me... dude that got hired keeps asking so much questions that it's distracting to me trying to get my actual work done

I’m in training right now and I’m sure my trainer feels the same way you do.

No matter because I’m going to keep grinding his ass
