Target now offering "tuck friendly" swimwear for kids

Retail giant Target rolled out an “LGBT Pride” collection that includes so-called “tuck-friendly” wear and rainbow-colored onesies for infants and children — stoking conservative outrage that echoes the Bud Light fiasco.

“Target about to become Bud Light 2.0,” tweeted Citizens Free Press, a conservative news outlet, referring to the backlash against the nation’s top-selling beer over its tie-up with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Target’s line of trans options, promoted on its website ahead of next month’s Pride Month, sparked even more fury because it targets kids.

The items include bathing suits with “tuck-friendly construction” and “extra crotch coverage.”

Other offerings that raised conservative hackles include T-shirts that say “Pride Adult Drag Queen ‘Katya,'” “Trans people will always exist!” and “Girls Gays Theys,”

Don't you support gay marriage? If so, you support this as well. The slippery slope was real.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

If I remember correctly, he does not, but thinks we should leave it alone due to potential political backlash

However......conservatives are losing regardless. They should at least go down swinging.

I support in that, I dont care that it's legal and it would never be even an after thought when voting for person A or B, but yes, it should be left alone, because those who will come from power over banning it, will make AOC look like a right wing nut job and you will wont go down swinging...youll go down forcefully(no pun)

Because the left controls the media, they control the narrative/language. You/me etc calling it gay marriage proves that. The argument on the right should have always been being against same sex marriage. Not allowing same sex individuals, regardless of their sexuality to get married, is not bigoted/violating someone civil rights, as that law would apply equally to all.

Gay marriage is what directly led to this. The slippery slope.

Just like the right cucked on gay marriage, the right will cuck on transgender BS.

What exactly is the right supposed to do about this other than boycott, which has already led to considerable dents in the business of Disney and Budweiser and soon Target?

Nothing. It's inevitable - you've already lost.

Remember when the right said gay adoption was going to lead to a child grooming epidemic? Now all 50 states support gay adoption. No one cares about your whining and crying anymore. You'll get over it in a few years.

Here you go Mountaineer, I'm not sure I'd qualify as a liberal anywhere except on the misc, but if you want a slightly more "liberal" take, here's mine. There's less than 1/2% of the US population that identifies as transgender, and most are in their teens. So either most people outgrow it, or a couple of percentage points of the population really don't feel like they're the right sex. The important part to me is that we figure out how to keep guys from competing in women's sports and try to protect stupid kids from doing things they'll regret, like getting parts cut off. Transgenderism, if that's the correct word, isn't contagious, so I'm not really worried about it.

On Target and the clothing, the last time I bought clothing at Target was probably 10 years ago, and it was stuff for my daughter who was in elementary school. Why would I care what clothing they sell. Target has apparently done some sort of Pride month or Pride week thing for years. If they think pandering to a group that makes up less than one percent of the US population will increase sales to other LGBT groups and their supporters, and do so enough to offset what they'll lose from some conservatives, bully for them. If it works out in their favor, I'll just regret not buying their stock. I shop at Walmart unless my wife says the light block drapes at Target are the ones I'm supposed to buy, which she did 8 years ago when we moved into this house.

On gay marriage or same sex marriage, I don't think the government should be involved. What the government calls marriage is a civil contract. "Marriage" is a religious institution in my opinion, and if your religion says it's not OK for same sex couples to be married and we won't do it, then that's fine with me. That's their constitutional right. On the other hand, if a religious group says sure, we'll perform your marriage ceremony, that's also fine. It's also covered by that religious group's constitutionally protected right to freedom of religion. And that right should be protected.

On civil protections and unions, I do think the LGBTQxyz crowd should have the same constitutional protections as everyone else does, so I'm pro governmental civil contracts. Unfortunately, we currently call them marriage contracts, but, as I said, I don't consider that a marriage. If we simply stop calling it marriage, we can also stop wasting time on the religious aspects of it and just focus on what protections and tax requirements are appropriate for a couple, straight or gay, that wants to live together as a contracted family. It's a tax, power of attorney, and inheritance issue to me, and a constitutional one, not a religious one.

The left probably won't agree with eliminating the word marriage from governmentally defined unions because they want to argue with the right. A lot of conservatives won't support saying the government should stay out of marriage and change the term because then they're stuck arguing that same sex couples don't deserve the same constitutional protections as straight couples, and that's a harder argument for them to get people to agree with. This board leans conservative by a lot, so I'm curious, not about the Target stupidity, but about the marriage thing. How would you guys feel about the government passing a law that says governments can not issue marriage licenses anymore, but will, moving forward, only issue something called a civil union contract. Government will also, moving forward, respect religious groups constitutionally protected rights and, so long as a religious group isn't using this freedom to avoid paying taxes or breaking other laws, will defer to the religious group on what couples that religion will perform marriage ceremonies for. Comfortable with that option?

Government will also, moving forward, respect religious groups constitutionally protected rights and, so long as a religious group isn't using this freedom to avoid paying taxes or breaking other laws, will defer to the religious group on what couples that religion will perform marriage ceremonies for. Comfortable with that option?
My problem is there seems to be a rise, although I could be mistaken, of parents that are trying to be hyper-sensitive to their kids' needs/emotions, and misconstrue a 5yo boy putting on mom's makeup or heels as wanting to be female and the mom asks him leading questions and the boy will affirm the mother's suspicions because he's simply getting more attention from the mother than before and it is nothing more than that.

This then can go down the path of the kid growing up at an impressionable age thinking perhaps he's the wrong gender when it's most very likely just a kid fukking around with mom's shiit. I have a feeling in 10 years we're going to hear many stories about 20-somethings that regret various stages of transitions they did.
Deepfat: "I guarantee I beat you by at least 6 strokes. Afterwards, I'll slide my thick conservative cawk in your old lady just to finish the job."

z4: "So when are you available in September to play?"

Deep: "On second thought, I don't play golf with broads. You're such a scumbag that I'd be much more inclined to just slap the chit out of you."

z4: "MMA match works, too. So when are you available this month?

Deep: "I won't subject myself to being in the presence of a scumbag."
