How should we handle false rape cases? (srs)

In a perfect world everyone would wait for the verdict rather than overreacting. But the reality is we don't live in a perfect world or anything close to it.

So, knowing this how do we handle false rape cases? The quick response is to punish the accuser to ensure only genuine accusations are made. Problem is, even someone guilty has a chance to side step and get away with it. We then punish someone who should have made the claim.

What's actually the best way to handle this? I actually think it needs to be covered by insurance. Insurance company would need to do their due diligence to ensure fraud wasn't taking place, but I think the defendant should be covered by insurance for losses incurred assuming not guilty. It's not perfect but I do think it's better than punishing the accuser.

Happened to me. Luckily didn't cost me anything because it was only under investigation. She tripped up on her story after month or so and they dropped it. Then she came back months later and tried again. Cops told her to go away. Never did anything to her either time.

The person that lied should get the sentence of the person that was falsely accused.

Perjury used to be a hanging offense. I think that needs to make a comeback.

If you can prove it to be a lie, I would absolutely be okay with the accuser getting a punishment similar to what would have happened to the person they were accusing of committing the crime if they were convicted.

That will never happen so we just have to go with a purgery. Not sure if that is a misdemeanor or felony, but that is really the best we could ask for.

Also, a “not guilty” determination of a rape case should not automatically be considered a false accusation.

Not guilty is not the same as innocence. And is not evidence that the accuser lied.

PS: Don't eat poop, just don't let the idea of it stop you from living life to its fullest.

Committing a crime (rape) deserves what would be 100% punishment.

I would think accusing (lying) someone of false crime deserves like anywhere from 30%-60% of the punishment. But in clown world it's usually 0%-10% I would think (I have no stats to back this up).

I think Clown World is thinking a false claim deserved 60% of the punishment. If anything, they deserve more.
