If you had this super power would you use it?

The ability to time travel to the time/location of someone that went missing. You can’t interact at all, just watch (like a ghost basically).

I imagine you would witness a lot of dark murders.

Would you use this power or would it be too haunting?

I guess you raise a good point it would be psychologically scarring so I'd use it just once to find Jimmy Hoffa.

OP not to derail your thread but do you ever wonder what happened where you're at?

Like where you're at this exact second, what stuff happened on that land/space 1000 years ago, or 10,000 years ago?

Probably dinosaurs killing each other and who knows what throughout all of time.

Do you realize what you can do? Return to the present, and collect on all the rewards for information on those missing persons cases which lead to discovery of the remains of the person and the guilty party. That's a full time income there: $50-100k per missing person.


Get enough people and you could be a multi-millionaire, easily.


You know what else I'd do? I'd investigate the missing 411 cases. They are really weird and creepy and I'm really itching to understand what is going on there.

I’ve been watching this channel a lot which talks about hikers going missing. Pretty wild chit that happens on those trails



The missing persons cases that really interest me are the ones where they have no evidence of foul play and the persons seems to have disappeared randomly.

There was one where a girl took acid at a party or something and then went home to sleep it off. Her mom knew she was tripping so just let her sleep but in the morning the girl vanished without a trace. Can’t think of the girls name but if I find it I’ll update thread

Yes, there are justtoomany stories of hikers going missing in the US in national parks. And you can't use the usual animal attack/fell off cliffs/went off grid excuses because the cases are especially screened for not being like that.


It really does seem like some sort of superhuman force is taking them and it's really good at doing it. Do you have any theory or idea of what's going on?

It would be great to solve what happened to so many well known cases-Jimmy Hoffa, Lord Lucan, Suzy Lamplugh, Tara Calico, Angela Hammond, Amy Lynn Bradley, Maddy McCann, Claudia Lawrence etc.

FBI did a multi-year study on this. The conclusion was that most people (>90%) who go missing just wander off, die, and decompose before anyone finds them. Have a heart attack while in a remote area, drive into a lake and drown, get drunk and freeze to death in a snow bank, etc.

They pretty much did solve it-Cadaver dogs got hits in their apartment & their rental car. Most likely Mummy had a breakdown while she was throwing a tantrum, or overdosed her so they could go to their meal while she was sleeping & killed her accidentally. Then Daddy & their friends covered it up & helped dispose of her & the evidence.
