It was listed for sale for $1.885 million in 2018. It had a major renovation, still tons of profit to be had even with accepting a low ball offer. L.A.(Studio City, CA in this case) is the GOAT AREA for House Flipping.

The neighbor's houses aren't as expensive. It's a full remodel and there are millions extra for it being the Brady Bunch house as well.

That was considered an ideal house and was more than what most had. If you look back at houses built before 1980, especially 1960 down, most homes were barely more than 1,000sqft and usually only had one small bathroom. Walk in closets and such were only for "mansions". Just like now is "walk in pantries". People talk about the cost of housing going up and it is, but one reason is they aren't building houses like they used to.

Stone Mtn GA they have a park type thing where they have a bunch of Antebellum plantation houses and all but one is smaller than the average house today and the only one that is of decent size is maybe about 2Ksqft. Gone with the Wind's "Tera" was an exaggeration as part of that movie was romanticizing the South.
