Anyway, I do have some experience seeing this being I moved from a blue state to red state (CA-->NE). I transferred warehouses and the culture differences were shocking. $28 vs $22 an hour for the same job, same conditions, able to afford same lifestyle, etc. What I found was here in NE people leave for opportunities. In CA even tho $28 isn't "rich" it's hard to leave that. I worked with a guy in CA who'd been a night picker for 12 years LMAO. People hang on to their jobs in CA. In Nebraska tho after leaving to be a tech every single guy I started with had moved on to a different position a year later.

I know the same in Tennessee. Sometimes it’s people with an existing job and they will go part-time during the Christmas season (Around late November through beginning of January) to go work temporarily at the local Amazon warehouse. They offer holiday bonuses and pretty long hours. After that period, they will usually just quit it because the pay and hours drop drastically and go back to working their regular job or a new one.

I would move out of here in a heart beat but my wife has a great job here and her family so is what it is. Neither of us like it. Was just talking to a friend whose entire family moved to Texas last year from CA and they absolutely love it there. Same goes for a friend who just moved to Utah. I enjoy CA and the weather a lot.....we spent the weekend down in Newport and Irvine and always have fun there. And most of the people are fine. But the govt can kiss my azz.

More perplexingly, we found that faster hiring hasn't translated to faster job growth. When we ran the payroll numbers, the typical red state wasn't adding jobs any faster than the typical blue one.

Question....are companies closing and moving to from Blue states to Red or Red to Blue??

If you follow the news at all you know the answers to those questions.

People and companies are leaving Blue states in droves and moving to Red states.

BAMMMMMM Fact!

As I said Yahoo is a very left leaning website and never really prints anything in favor of Conservatives....so when I saw the headline and story I was surprised. After reading it I said to myself "well they said the facts but tried to spin it".

But the facts haven't changed. Red states are growing and hiring more than Blue states.

Period.
