Thinking about getting a Camaro LT1

Thinking about getting the 2023 Camaro LT1, or just waiting until august for the 2024 to come out. Cost is about $42,000. I would put 15k down so the payment wouldn’t be too bad.

The 2024 is going to be the last car in the sixth gen Camaro line up and the last non EV Camaro.

I had one of these new camaros as a rental recently and the visibility was absolute piss. It was similar to driving with your sun visor permanently down .

Hated that car.

Would rather buy something with a supercharger like a 2012 GT500 and have it tuned for 900hp.

I beat LT1s all day long in a Fusion Sport with a E85 tune.

I genuinely prefer understated vehicles that draw less attention (I've debadged mine, it's black-on-black-on-black, kept the stock exhaust post-cat, etc.) so that I can fly under the radar with cops and ne'er-do-wells, but I get people of all ages asking about it on a regular basis.

Kids literally call it the Batmobile. Old dudes ask the classic "Does it have a 350 in it?" lol.

Non-car people don't know the difference between jack and chit. People who buy a car for the attention it will get (or a truck because they think "sloots will mire" fukking lol) are buying for the wrong reason anyway. Tell your friend to trade it in for a base model corvette if he wants more attention from the general non-knowing public.

Exactly. No difference between it and a 20k grocery getter. At least with the vette even the base model is a head turner. Because there is no 4 cylinder model.

And yes a trail boss is gonna retain a lot more value than any camaro, even one with a blower. If you want to go fast just buy a literbike for 10k and laugh at anything on 4 wheels.
