"Upgrading" isn't the term I would use, but hewillget more attention from random non-car people on the street, so probably a good choice for him.

And yes a trail boss is gonna retain a lot more value than any camaro, even one with a blower. If you want to go fast just buy a literbike for 10k and laugh at anything on 4 wheels.
-States "No difference between it and a 20k grocery getter"
-Considers getting attention from everyone and everything on the street a good thing
-Is worried about 'retaining value' and is unaware that the large majority of ZL1s with 40k+ miles on them are still commanding pricetagsover50k, and the same cannot be said for the thousands and thousands of fukking 'Trail Boss' 1500s out there lol
-Goes on to suggest a fukking liter bike as if people shopping for one in the first place will just all of a sudden decide to go for the other

Just stop.

Kids literally call it the Batmobile. Old dudes ask the classic "Does it have a 350 in it?" lol.

Non-car people don't know the difference between jack and chit. People who buy a car for the attention it will get (or a truck because they think "sloots will mire" fukking lol) are buying for the wrong reason anyway. Tell your friend to trade it in for a base model corvette if he wants more attention from the general non-knowing public.
Mirin, got any pics?

Hey, I have had a 2016 Camaro 2SS as my daily driver the last 7 years, only about 50k miles on it. It's easy to daily. Overall the car has held up well, no rattles and it's fun to drive.

Only breakdowns have been engine coolant sensor ($15 part) flaking out and radiator fan failing ($300). Easy engine to work on so I've done all the maintenance and repairs myself.

What else would you like to know?

Mirin! I heard the oil changes are like $200+, how long does that take you to do yourself?

Not to post on the Misc, no.

The amount of misc-detective fukkery and level of jealous hatred right now leads me to not post pics of fukking anything. I've even debated taking down my 10+ year old avi at this point, but just can't bring myself to become a no-avi ph@gg0t as back in Misc hayday that was basically a criminal offense.

I change the oil myself so I can't say how much it would cost in a shop but it takes about 10 quarts of synthetic oil each change, so maybe $70 or so depending on what oil you pick. It doesnt take long to do though maybe 30 minutes. I replaced the oil pan bolt with a valve which makes it a little easier too.

That truck costs more than twice as much as a Camaro. You could get a Porsche for the price of that thing. I currently have a 4x4 supercrew but would not advise anyone to get one until the prices come back down to earth

Engine doesn't shut off. The automatic has cylinder deactivation. The manual doesn't have cylinder deactivation but it does do a 1-4 skip shift, kinda annoying but can removed with a cheap aftermarket part I believe.
