are electric mowers ghey?

srs question. if I bought an electric mower would I basically be shunned by my alpha gas mower neighbors?

this is in a pretty moderate split democrat/gop area.

how would you react if I pulled into your suburban subdivision with something like this

17k faps per minute is impressive. They're not ghey they're just underpowered and cant handle grass longer than a couple inches, especially if it's damp and all nappy ass

Why not just buy gas? The last gas mower I replaced was 10+ years old and I only replaced to go with self-propelled. These things last a long time if you take care of them. I couldn't imagine how many batteries you'll go through in 10 years.

Consensus in the reviews I've read say they run out of juice far too quickly, was considering one for my front lawn rather than bringing out the tractor each time but will probably end up getting a gas push mower

I feel like these mowers would be SICK... super quiet, easy to use, low maintenance.... But if they run out of charge quickly, then it's a waste.

I used to mow the lawn with an electric mower 2004-2009ish, it was powered by a cord not a battery and I remember hating it. Feel like it would get clogged all the time cause the blades wouldn’t turn strong enough (?) Would rather have a gas one I think.

oh the old corded ones were terrible, not enough power. The new battery ones don't lack power. I have a couple friends with them. They don't complain about run time but an extra battery would be worth it to me over sucking exhaust fumes when the sun is out

If you have a tiny yard with swappable batteries they are fine.

The Ryobi set up isn't bad they have a lot of really cleaver light use tools. So it isn't unreasonable to have multiple batteries laying around.

However, anything bigger than a tiny yard is going to be absolute misery.

No Friesbruh but my yard is small and have a lot of tree cover, moss, and pine needles. Many years I mow less than 15x but the terrain is tough on a carb. Last year I got an electric and like the convenience. I still have my gas mower that I plan on tuning up again because the electric sucks at bagging the pine needles but it's not a priority.

My neighbour bought an Ego lawnmower,and he’s pissed. People don’t realize they don’t create the same air vector underneath, and he has mow hawks all over the place after he’s gone over it .
Then the bag fills up over half way and the front end comes off the ground . No thx Geoff

i have had an electric push mower for a few years. one charge to cut the front and 1 charge to cut the back. Pretty large yard at almost an acre in total. Very nice would recommend
