Apple Vision Pro - Looks cool as fuk
Just seen this:
Personally i think it looks fuking awesome. Whether it will be as good as it looks is anyone's guess though. Price tag is pretty hefty.

We should start a pool to see how soon they discontinue them and how much they lose on them.
I say they will be forgotten by labor day and discontinued right after they dont sell for christmas.

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

Apple won’t fail, they’re always just in time. They wait until the tech has caught up fully, and then they integrate new hardware into their vertical integration (envy of many tech companies), and they market it 10/10.
For old miscers who are technologically inept, this won’t matter. Y’all probably still watch DVDs. But an actual AR system like this can replace your monitors easily. Imagine scaling up a few 50” oled screens for work, while one plays sports without having to worry about hanging them correctly, or the actual size.
This is basically what Microsoft kept teasing but never delivered on all those years ago because they couldn’t. Imagine learning with a system like this? You can run amazing apps like Atlas, and expand, zoom, enlarge the entire human body mapped.
Or a full sized interactive music studio. Everything is done via a DAW these days anyway, but now you can have emulated gear if that’s what you’re into. Work like graphic design, where you’ll be able to zoom and edit the vector files, add and remove layers. All can be done with current hardware, but you can actually blow up your creation and overlay it on a wall, or clothing to see how it’ll really look.
I hope this takes off so they spend even more money on future generations.

I think this is pathetic and disturbing. More alienating tech to create even more autistic retards!
Some fuken kids in Africa can't get running water or food but some geek in SF gets to stream 4k porn while riding and uber on his way to his geek tech job. PATHETIC.

Augmented Reality headset. I have one at work but it's got a tiny screen and isn't useful for that very much.
Imagine you can set it so that you can put people on your ignore list so you can't see or hear them.

I assumed it was VR gaming, but after watching that video it doesn't really look like that's the intended purpose.

It's really kind of sad how humanity continually does everything it can to escape reality. Not just AR or VR either. It's started long before that. Movies and TV (theaters especially) to make it feel real. Then they folded in 3D glasses to them to make them more real. For pictures it was photoshopping everything to make it appear better than reality. Now we have filters for in the moment touch ups. And coming soon AI to take it a step further and create the images entirely
Nothing real is good enough any more it seems.
