internal decapitation due to chiropractors.

Hey guys.

I'm trying to find info about this stuff but not having much luck.
I want to do a show on it.


I know it's come up in the misc before and some of you have good info on this.

Have you tried looking or asking on a Chiropractor forum? Srs. I'm flying to MO tomorrow for a funeral and my cousin's husband is a Chiropractor, I can ask him.

It's hard to get into those forums. Even with my BA in Medical Illustration.
Same thing with CMT forums.

From what I have seen is the standard Chiro answer is 1 in 100,000
Other sources report it's more common than that.

No way that's correct. Over 35 million people in the US go to them. Let's just say the average person who goes to them goes 12 times per year. That would be 21000 killed by chiros. For reference 14,000 people last year were murdered with guns.

Wouldn't go near one, especially for anything to do with the neck. Its all joint manipulation for relief, like cracking your knuckles.

Try it on a herniated c-disc and make your condition 10x worse i could well imagine.

Haven't heard of any cases of internal decapitation but definitely a lot of carotid dissections. Chiropractors are quacks

Just anecdotal but my work neighbor is a chiro. I have seen the people going in there for years. Some of them are way worse than they were a few years ago. I'm assuming it's from some other condition but just odd you'd see more than one regular that way.
