Do you crack your knuckles?

I crack my knuckles daily. When I was a kid and did it, my grandma and dad would always look at me with disgust. They said I’m going to give myself arthritis.

Doctors say that’s a myth though.

“Up to 54% of people crack their knuckles. Some like the sound or the way it feels. Others find that it helps relieve stress or anxiety. For some people, it can become a habit.“

“Unless it’s causing pain or swelling, there’s no medical reason to stop“

Yes I do. My fingers feel more nimble after I do it, so I doubt it's bad. Also the cracking sound is just connective tissue moving around; no way would it cause any harm unless you pull it or tear it with overexertion.

The sound is from the bubbles bursting in the fluid in your joints

That's peasant tradie behavior. My hands are much too delicate for that type of abuse.

Yes

On that note, a lot of my joints seem to constantly crack these days. Even right now just sitting here and doing a curling motion causes both of my elbows to pop twice with every rep. The same thing happens with my shoulders.

It's not supposed to mean anything but I'm a little bit skeptical.

Fingers, toes, neck, back, you name it.

Finally found a good chiropractor. Did my back the other day. Been twisting my hip for a long time trying to get this spot and even if it feels like I get it I really don't. Had me on my side and pushed my lower back, felt like my spine moved an inch and it was unbelievable to be honest.
