agree with this, i would have no lifed it as a kid for sure but those days are gone

fkn can't stand that Llama ******* who does literally what u just said. Skips past dialogue and everything like a fiending crack head and then complains that the game doesn't have any personality.

How is that relevant? they total time enjoyed is still the same. I didn't mind the game too much until ~45. I'm just saying the game is awful after that, which is fairly early in the game relative to max level. Go try to play to 85 and you'll know what I mean, regardless of how long that takes you.

i normally agree that llama is annoying as fuk, but his take on d4 is pretty spot on. his concern isn't the story. it's the gameplay, which is super lackluster. go play nearly as much and then comment. you have no insight.

lackluster how exactly ? any actual evidence of these claims instead of using buzzwords?

and i've played til level 49, i think that's more than enough to determine that the gameplay is just fine. also played both beta weekends, leveled every character to 25.

Llama is a whiney man child. He can go play D2 forever.

Diablo 4 has the best story/atmosphere of any Diablo game. Easily

It’s relevant because there is something to be said about enjoying 40 hours of gameplay over 2 weeks as opposed to over two days. I love to golf once every week. But if I golfed 2 rounds a day I’d hate it.


I didn’t finish the campaign yet but I’m reading a lot of people hit 50 before they even beat it so I’m sure I’ll be entertained until at least 50. And that’s without touching any endgame content

dude it starts off extremely lack luster, running from place to place, doing the same thing over and over, for no chance at getting actually valuable rewards.

and it's pretty much a clone of lost ark in the beginning.

hopefully end game isn't like that, but we will see

not just any ARPG.

Anyone else playing a sorc?
If so, what build? Arc lash looks boring AF to play. Have an ice shard build currently and I can see it’s only going to be good with good gear. It relies on enemies being frozen for real dmg and without the right gear, that only really happens when you pop frost nova…which has too long of a cool down to rely upon all the time.

And boss fights are slow as fk. I just killed the act 2 boss and holy fk it took forever because my single target DPS is ass.

It’s pretty frustrating because in the beta it felt like I was wrecking with the sorc and I hadn’t even looked any particular build up. I just slapped some **** together.

i am leveling sorc
following the maxroll chain lightning build guide
seems pretty good, pop the ultimate and ice armor next to boss and go ham

Whatever the fk they're doing with the servers right now has it basically unplayable. They might as well have just shut it the fk down and do what they have to do.

I saw some streamers earlier having login problems, so far i've been lucky whenever i played there were no issues. Maybe its because i'm west coast.. and maybe the servers so far been more reliable? not sure... but compared to diablo 3, SO FAR the server have been great when i have played.. (fingers crossed)

Long time D2 fan here. D4 is better than D3, but it's not addicting enough to play it for more than 1-2 hours at a time.

Feel like camera is too zoomed in for one thing. Gameplay is decent, but it's more of a D3 type game rather than D2.

Im playing firewall. Lvl 55. Trying to pivot to Ice Shards once i get the required affixes. Nothing is hard for me on T3.
