The equipment is no better than the operator.

The Leopard crews got specific NATO training outside of Ukraine. If this is the actual counteroffensive then they are using all the NATO trained troops as well.

You are right though, it highlights how stupid it is to send modern equipment to Ukraine give them a couple of months with it and expect to use it well. Pretty sure if Ukraine does get F-16s it's going to be equally hilariously how inadept they are at using them. But instead of just getting the crew killed they have the option of getting a bunch of people on the ground killed as well.
