How many lives have you lived so far?
Not talking metaphysically, though absolutely do feel welcome to entertain us with any past life experiences.
More the impermanence of existence and how you experience yourself so changed as to qualify as a different person. I think I'm up to 10 or 12 maybe? Depends on how you slice it.
- earliest childhood before I had a sibling
- first home/neighborhood/school before we moved when I was 10 or 11 vs. new home/neighborhood/school
- when my parents split/divorced
- when the house was sold and just my mom and I briefly lived in a rented place
- my first apartment on my own and then a little house
- meeting my first husband and that period of time with that circle of friends vs.
- starting up with my second husband
- becoming a parent
- moving across the country
- an entire life in that state
- multiple hard things + moving back
I'm ready for the next one. Trying to stress less and flow more.
Seriously worth a watch, not only for people actively in transition. Stick with it...it's only 12 minutes and hits different points.
Off to walk, but I'll be back. AFAIK anyway.

Good introspective post srs. Sucks you had to have two husbands though lol. Truly a miracle that my parents, aunts, and uncles have been married for 30 yrs+. I think you're not counting some stuff because I'm younger than you and can already think of 10-12 different lives I've lived. Just college alone was good for 3 or 4. So many relationships, different living situations, part time jobs etc in a short span. I also consider career/job to be important to identity so everytime you switch companies or jobs its an entirely different life.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

I gotta start walking earlier. Already getting tan lines and so sweaty. Showered.
The first one I think maybe we could have made it with better communication and maturity. The second one I got into another relationship too quickly and should have ended it before it got to marriage. I was trying to do the right thing and just kept staying because we had a child and it wasn't awful all the time...flipped back and forth between highs and lows before settling in at a lower amplitude.
It does really depend on how you measure. Promise that 13 year old me never expected 25 year old me, or 34 year old me. Definitely did not expect to be where I am now.

Why do you feel reborn every time you have a new experience? As if life begins and ends with a change of scenery and seasons.

Of course it isn't every new experience. How drastic of an event or change counts as a new life? Matter of opinion.
I think that most people who have children would say that their life was forever changed and that they had one life before and a different life after.

for me, every new "life" is more like something I identify myself to. So far I have been sailor, a pilot, a boxer, financial analyst, programmer. This is 5 very demanding new streams I was going through. Wives do not count for men, this is something that just happens. I am in my second marriage for that last 15 years, but I would not call it another "life".

Life is like a novel; a new chapter begins as the story progresses. You don't see many novels starting new editions as things move along

I would say that I'm probably on the 4th or 5th version of myself. I'm really starting to like this one.

When I was a kid, every time I would go to bed I felt like I might not be the same "me" when I would wake up on the next day.
