Especially economic growth worldwide from the late 19th Century to the mid 20th Century was insane. Levels of growth we today can't even fathom. BRB most of the population outside the third world going from being farmers without machinery (back breaking work) to single digit share of the populations having to be farmers, with great machinery. Life expectancy around the world rose from rock solid vaccines and hygienic discoveries in the west in the same era.
