Lmao at people caring about this game when it has level scaling.

There's no point getting better loot when the enemies get stronger as you do....

If a level 1 joins you they will have an easier time against enemies that you are struggling with!

Interestingly, shock has a tremendous amount of survivability, which is why it's used for leveling. I haven't used ice yet, but after leveling my Necro, then trying Sorcerer, I couldn't believe the difference. The minions, even with gear, are tough to keep alive and there goes your survival. On sorcerer, I just rotate CDs to stay alive

You could also try switching something out for more barrier or mobility.

What does the encounter consist of?

Shock gets a ton of barrier, mobility, stuns, etc. it just works well.

As for the boss, I haven't tried him yet. Is there a particular damage type that he does?

You can try re-gemming in to resist all or something specific for the encounter. Usually resist all works, but I haven't played around at end game yet on 4 to test it.

not necessarily,

with more levels, you're skills have way more affinity with each other, which increases your damage output compared to a lesser geared person.

basically allows you to kill enemies faster than a lower leveled person.

and in this game, some enemies take forever to kill.

Pop an elixir of undead slaying, gives a 20% dmg boost against undead. I had a couple of them in my bags, but you can also craft those at the alchemist.

Besides that gotta dodge that three pronged triple cast, prioritize blasting those fuking bone ballistas and maybe save your big CD for the vulnerable phase if you have one. But I guess you already figured these out.

Took me around 4 tries on my rogue, that elixir really gave the boost I’ve needed.

I hope I get some good game time tonight, I am very close to starting pushing ancestral Nightmare dungeons currently lvl 64 and will do it at lvl 66..... life is getting hard in the way .... Getting back home 8 or 9 PM so I have just three hours tops if that.

Went ahead and bought ExitLag subscription. Seemed to make my connection to the game more stable or maybe snakeoilMy latency in game is a steady 90ms, wish it was better but nothing I can do about it :S

That triple cast bull**** he does is what keeps fking me. It hits for almost all my hp. I’ll try that elixir.

a lot of negative, unpaid reviews are starting to come out about the game now. a lot of them saying similar to what i've been saying: dungeons are boring, skill system needs work, chat system is junk, renown system = waste of time, item system is dumb.

don't get me wrong, game isn't bad, but it needs polishing, just like diablo 3 when it first came out.

It's a different kind of challenge. A lot of the hard-core players are streamers, so it's not like they're all doing it for free. Lol

Last night I was doing some dungeons and I noticed a very sharp spike in the amount of damage I was experiencing. Normal mode should not be very difficult. It should be a pretty smooth play through, and gear should make a huge impact.

I'm only level 43 on my sorcerer now, and every slot has a legendary with good stats. Weapons upgraded and gemmed. I encountered the butcher in a particular dungeon and he absolutely wrecked me. I did manage to survive, but not without using nine potions, and kiting him around the entire dungeon trying to stay alive. I barely touched his health with all of my CDs.

This has happened in a couple dungeons now. It's almost like the difficulty was turned up when I entered the dungeon. Something is def wrong. I think a couple mobs or damage types might be over tuned.

I think poison is one of the over tuned damage types. I've been trying to test them out, and it is by far one of the highest damage types I have experienced. The only thing that beats it is over power damage by enemies, which can take you down to about 10-20% health with one hit.

Lower right part of the world map with the various snake ****s? Yeah that sucks ass, especially the small ranged ones and the disco lights that snap towards you then stun you for a couple of seconds. Good times.

I play HC mode and im not even as dedicated as many to the game.

I just personally find it a more exciting experience when death actually means death. Otherwise i got bored of previous diablos just rushing in with zero thought and dying and just being like "oh well, charge in again".

And when i do lose a character, it just means i'll play another class and experience a new build. I never use the "perfect" template builds people post online. I enjoy just making my own builds based on loot i find. And while it's never as perfectly meta as the ones the experts come up with, i still enjoy how all my playthroughs are different combat experiences all while always having that slight fear the next dungeon or boss might be that characters death.

Also if they add Seasons like they did in Diablo 3, everyone restarts over every 6 months anyways by choice.

Today I got exactly 27 mins worth of gametime, **** THIS FUKIN LIFE....... Lvl 65 ...... cot damn. I am seriously jelous of these nerds that are playing day and night, not envious of course, but it would be nice to be able to play for a couple of hours thats for sure.

This entire story campaign seems to suggest you're just on one big mushroom trip. Also the dev team seems to have thrown diarrhea at a wall to create this story campaign. If i recall correctly, it's worse than D3's. No excuse with the amount of time they had to make this. Just trying to get my $100 worth at this point. I doubt i can stick around for this pointless grind in this clearly passionless game.

I'd go so far to even say this is a game only drug addicts can enjoy. I need that dopamine! D4: "WE got you fam! buy our skins"

Pretty sure it's locked to the difficulty level you've acquired it at, so a WT1/2 cache won't upgrade to a WT3 one if you switch after getting the drop etc.

Even if it did, it's pointless to hold onto it since it's always better to get potential upgrades/aspect sources asap and the game showers you in drops anyway.

i don't even know what's going on at this point lol and it just seems random and unfocused. you're talking to a bunch of random people who help you to find and defeat Lilith.

DIII's I didn't find too bad tbh though some of the villains were cringe.

D1 and D2 the quests were alot cooler. Any1 remember the dying NPC outside the dungeon in D1 and in level 2 you literal chit your pants when you opened the door to the butcher and if you were a sorcerer three hits from him you were dead lul. good times.

Dunno why, but this game just doesn't get me hyped to grind. I'm still only early 50's, but I get off work and I have no feeling of excitement. It's like ok I'll play to keep progressing, but no itch to stay up late or anything like that. New POE leagues I always have that itch.
